About this listen

The charming blue alien says I'm his. It's got to be some kind of line. But how can I resist him . . . or his wicked tail?

HAZEL: I get lucky when horned blue aliens rescue me straight from cryo. So when I get the chance to use my communications skills to help save other human women, I jump on it. It's perfect. Except for him.

Of all the handsome devils, why did I get stuck alone on a mission with a heartbreaker? Especially one who keeps losing his shirt and carrying me everywhere. Kirel is all smooth talk and easy charm. He claims I'm his fated mate. But I refuse to be fooled by a handsome face again, no matter how tempting his whole . . . package.

KIREL: I never met a computer system I couldn't hack or a female I couldn't tempt for a fling. But without a fated mate, all of it was flimsy and fleeting. Until her. My soul's breath. The one destined to be mine forever.

Hay-Zul is the puzzle I can't figure out and the one I'm the most desperate to solve. I ache for her and her lush curves. When we go undercover to find more Hyoo-mon females, we pretend to be fated mates. But it's not fake, and I'll prove it to her. Then I'll take her as mine.

Contains mature themes.

Better than the first book.

Character development: ☹️😮😋😀
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Hazel - Cara, from Claimed by the Alien Rogue was the only female with a translator chip and she went out the air-lock a few minutes ago. Hazel was a linguist and a coms specialist. So her training helped a bit since she was holed up in a cramped shuttle with some huge aliens until they docked with the large Zaarn ship. She had a bit of a crush on Kiril the huge Zaarn warrior. Hazel knew from Cara that the Zaarn were good aliens as opposed to the aliens who had kidnapped the three Cryopods from their ark ship and tried to sell Cara; Hazel and her friend Molly were lucky to be awakened from her cryo-stasis pod after all that hubbub.

The Hero: Kiril - he is a seven foot tall blue alien, built like an athlete and handsome to boot. He was a quiet male when he was around Hazel because the things he wanted to say to her had to be understood by her. He was a computer and tech wiz on the Zaarn ship, the Daredevil. His kind were banished from their home world if they didn’t find a mate by a certain age. They lived and worked in space and didn’t think they had any hope of ever finding a mate, until Gravin found Cara and knew immediately she was his mate. Kiril had a crush on Hazel and felt the mating pull toward her.

The Story: Hazel worried about what she would do now. Since Cara could fight and Molly was a pilot, they were set, but Hazel was a linguist in an alien world where everyone had translators. She was afraid because she knew if those in power didn’t find you useful, that you wouldn’t have a good time of it. Now that they were on the larger ship, she got her translator chip and was finally able to understand the Zaarnian males.

Of course Hazel had a past bad relationship, so even thought Kiril told her right away that she was his fated mate, she figured he just wanted her because she was one of the only women around and that if someone better came around, she would be dropped. I hate it when the heroine is a BBW, especially when their self-esteem is not great because of it. Hazel worried a lot about her weight. Especially after seeing pictures of the toned bodies of Zaarnian females.

I did end up liking this story better than the first book in this series. I liked the fact that they went on an adventure to try to rescue the rest of the human women on the ark ship. Kiril was perfect for this task since he would be able to hack into the Grug systems and find out where they had come across the ship. Hazel had to go with in order to provide access to the ship. Though I didn’t really understand that since obviously the Grug were able to access the ship and kidnap Hazel, Molly and Cara.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Tor Thom and Elle Sonali. Elle has a soft, feminine voice that sounds age appropriate for Hazel. I really like her voice, she is one of my favorite female narrators. Tor Thom is also very good. He has a super deep voice which is just perfect for a large alien male.
