Publisher's summary

Are poor social skills holding you back from having fulfilling friendships ("bros before hoes") and being an influential member in your community?

The great news is that social skills can be learned! One can increase his social intelligence (SQ) through research and practice.

It doesn't matter how many mistakes you have made in the past, you can gain the sets of skills to be successful in creating lasting, mutually beneficial friendships in the present - with powerful contacts. You can use social skills to create satisfying romantic relationships with a beautiful individual of the opposite gender.

It is healthy to be part of a supportive peer network or to be part of a group of people that share similar life goals as you do. After all, the human being is a social animal. You have a lot to offer to the world, as does the world to you!

Do you know what is four or five times more effective than a resume for getting you a dream job? It is knowing someone within that organization. Social skills can be used to land you a working position of your dreams - among a multitude of other benefits.

The first key to gaining valuable social skills is to have an active social life. Here is a simple fact about human nature: you get good at what you do frequently. If you stay at home all day binge watching TV shows and don't leave the home then it's your fault that you have the social skills of a panda. It's essential to put yourself out there, reach out to people and take action in the field. It is human nature to get better at what one does; having an active social life will inevitably improve your social skills.

Same gender friendships with men can be highly beneficial for you because a friend may offer insights on how you can improve your life. Upon request, he will help you because he knows that you would have his back just as well. One is stronger when he is part of a team that shares similar values and goals than when he is a lone wolf.

Here are valuable skills that you will learn from this book:

  • How to have a conversation without awkward moments
  • Techniques to keep the conversation flowing naturally
  • How to create your tribe and make it win/win for all members
  • Talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere
  • How to meet new people regularly
  • How to create friendships with powerful contacts
  • How to create romantic relationships with someone you find attractive
  • How to have the courage to thrive in social environments and remove anxiety

Misleading

Just a bunch of deep thoughts and quotes, nicely read, i was looking for ideas on how to teach my socially awkward thirteen year old daughter how to interact with other kids. A waste of time.

Quotes

It’s just a bunch of quotes! The author literally just put a bunch of quotes from people into a book.
