Publisher's summary
Winner of the Carnegie Medal, Tamar is Mal Peet's astonishing novel about love, lies and secrets in a time of war.
When her grandfather dies, Tamar inherits a box containing a series of clues and coded messages. Out of the past, another Tamar emerges, a man involved in the terrifying world of resistance fighters in Nazi-occupied Holland half a century earlier. His story is one of passionate love, jealousy and tragedy set against the daily fear and casual horror of the Second World War. Unravelling it will transform the younger Tamar's life....

Love it
I’ve been reading this book on and off for the past...oh god 9 years. I first checked the book out at my local library and then spent the next few years reading, getting distracted by other things, and coming back to it, forgetting what I’d read, and then having to return it (pesky library fees). Finally, I purchased the physical copy and I went to see if it was on Audible. To my surprise it was! But it wasn’t going to be released till the 30th of January!! I was so excited to be able to listen to this amazing story while at work when I usually listen to Audible. I’m so jazzed about it! The story is amazing if you love WW2 history, love stories, espionage, and mystery!
