Publisher's summary
“Technically, the continent is doomed if you can’t figure out how to work together…the good news is there’s no way for the Compass Points to trust each other less than they currently do.” -- Arie
Before the Compass Points can confront a god, Rose will unite them the only way she knows how: through their magic. To forge her weapons is to know the heart of the wielder. Uncovering the secrets that have plagued the fae courts longer than the mist will not be an easy task. But it may be simpler than predicting how her magic entwines with the Suden Point’s unprecedented power—and the growing bond between them.
Tangled Power is the second book in the Compass Points series.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Story
Hockey coach Ashley Jaswal doesn't take nonsense from anyone … except her overbearing and superstitious family. They believe she's a good luck charm for her brother Jas, the newest Vancouver Canucks draft pick, forcing Ash to attend all his games as he rises up the NHL ranks, sacrificing her personal life (not that she has one—who decided hockey season needed to be 10 months long anyway?). Ash also clashes with Jas’s teammate, Canucks captain Devin Snyder.

enjoying this series!
A good, medium-paced sequel that builds up to a strong cliffy! The actors do a great job with reading this book, and it's easy to tell apart the characters. Reader notes: does contain suggestive flirting and open door scenes.

Teamwork Makes The Dream Work
In the continued story of a selfish god, the Compass Points need to work together to defeat him. Rose and Luc find a strength as their relationship grows and work with the others to resolve the mist and restore what was overcome. With the cliffhanger at the end, it seems that Rose still has much to do and she is determined to achieve it with Luc.

A great romantasy
Ever had a book hangover? That's what I'm going through right now!! The narrators did such an excellent job with bringing the story to life. Rose and Luc's adventure continue and we get more details into what makes the Courts tick, their history, and how they can ultimately come together to stop the evil. (Classic Good vs Evil plot but not the only one!) Oh, and the ending!! I really cannot wait until the next book comes out!!

Great Cozy Fantasy
I fully enjoyed this book, I listened to it as audio, I loved the growth of the Rose and Luc. This has more in depth romance than book 2 but still pretty closed door. A unique magic system, fun dialogue and a cozy fantasy. Looking forward to Book 3.

So so so good!
I absolutely loved book 1 and couldn't imagine loving book 2 as much. I was so wrong. This book was absolutely as amazing as book 1. Thoroughly enjoying Rose and Luc's growing relationship and looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.
The narrators did a fabulous job. Lots of different voices for a variety of characters -- all done well.
NOTE: ends on a big cliffhanger

Love the narration!
I am very invested in this series but I must admit that I did miss my friend Arie. Returning to this world is such a comfort for me. Seeing Rose and Luc in this installment in their relationship was great to see. I really liked to see how both characters have grown in their powers. Rose wielding her power and seeing some of the other points together was great.
The narrators, Michael Gallagher and
Kasi Hollowell are wonderful. Together they truly brought the world to life! They breathe life tot herse characters and I didn’t want it to end. Very well done!
If you enjoy unique magic systems, fae, romantasy, and a fun animal companion be sure to check this one out.
