Having a teenager at home is not easy!
They treat their parents like enemies! This book gave me good tools and ideas. The chapter on active listening helped me a lot during dinner conversation. It turned out I was accidently shitting her down without realizing it. I like how the book has a good banalnce between understanding their perspective while setting healthy boundaries.

I have been having problems communicating with my teen son. We just don't see things the same way. He is very independent, which I love, but we need to be better at talking. I found this wonderful book on teen talk, and it has been amazing. The book has taught me strategies to get through to him, and it is working!. We are now talking.
