About this listen

I am not a liar or a thief or a criminal. At least, not anymore. But here I am doing the things that I promised myself I would never do again.

Nicholas Crawford made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. He is dangerous and damaged but so am I. Our relationship is an addiction that we have to feed.

Now, things are about to get even more complicated.

Allegiances will be tested. Lies will be told. Truths will be revealed.

We have both made promises that we can’t keep. The secrets we have uncovered only scratch the surface, and I’m afraid to find out what lies below.

All is not what it seems but I have to figure out the truth before it’s too late.

Dive into the decadent and delicious third book of the new and addictive Tell Me series by best-selling author Charlotte Byrd.

So…

Unfortunately the narrators for book 3 are not any better than books 1 & 2, but they’re not awful. Just not my favorite.

This book needs to be combined with the next one to be a more full-length sequel to the first. I probably won’t go on to the next books because it’s just not worth the money - the story isn’t that captivating to me. If they were on sale maybe, but not at full price or for a credit.

Unexpected

It was ok, not like the 1st two books, but I will still like to see what happens going forward.

I Can't Bring Myself to Continue this Series...

Let us Begin ✏️

Overall Plot Rating: ⭐⭐ - - -
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️ - - -
Execution of Spice: ⭐⭐ - - -

Tropes/Triggers: slow burn, sexual content: including, but not limited to: Swinging/poly

Format I read: Audiobook 🎧
Audio version: Dual Narration
Narrators and performance:
Jenny K.: ⭐⭐⭐⭐-
Russel Newton: ⭐⭐⭐⭐-
I like this female narrator better than the woman who did the first book. Both of these voice actors definitely put their time and effort into their parts.

1st person POV
The POV splits between Olive's and Nicholas's.

Pros of the Story 👍
- I enjoy how open the author is about "taboo" subjects... But at this point, I feel like that's all she has going for her.

Cons of the Story 👎
- this book reads as if it's being written by teenager. It feels like a selfish Wattpad story that just was rushed through publishing.
- There inconsistency in the characters is growing and it's annoying me.
- She unapologetically inserts an "and" for indie authors, as if Olive is talking right to the audience, talking about how you should support indie authors that you enjoy. It was tacky and took me right out of the story.
- I hate the main characters. Olive is an idiot and Nicholas is just... Fake? I guess. He is far from relatable and the inconsistencies in the way the two of them act are just... Ugh.
- There's a section in this story where the Author has Olive talking about the books she enjoys reading, where the "smutty parts are the scenes people really want to read" but then most conventional books will go and fade to black or skip those parts... Then this book, which is definitely a slow burn... Their first time getting inlt on is so short and underwhelming, and then the author goes to fading to black in the very next sex scene. 😅

In summary 📝

0/10 would recommend. I'm done with this series. It's just been getting worse with each book.

So, unfortunately, I won't be finishing this series, because I can't see myself spending anymore money on these books.
