Publisher's summary
He was born to be a knight. I’m a noble lady. We’re a perfect match — but destiny has other ideas…
MARIAN
Fairest maiden in the land? I’d rather be known as the best swordswoman or the best rider. On the other hand, there are advantages to keeping my skills secret — along with my rare shifter heritage. Like now, when I must outwit the cruelest, most ruthless man alive. To do so, I head to the most lawless corner of the country, hoping to find Robin Hood. But when the safe haven I was counting on turns out to be a double cross, I find an unlikely ally in the hottest priest in the land.
TUCK
As the third son of a country lord, I had no choice but to join a monastery and become Friar Tuck. Eat, pray, repeat was my future, and damn, was that future bleak. In a few short days, I’ll have to take my vows and make it official. Me, a lion shifter, living a life of poverty, obedience, and chastity?
Poverty…
No problem. As the son of a wealthy lord, it seems only fair to make up for my privileged upbringing.
Obedience…
Not my strong suit. If I’d had my dream job — Crusader knight and fearless swordsman — I could have lived with it. But it's hard to take orders from men who speak in gentle whispers and dress in bathrobes.
Chastity…
BIG problem. I just don’t have it in me.
Life gets a little more interesting when I start helping Robynne Hood… and a LOT more interesting when a beautiful and mysterious woman comes to our monastery, seeking refuge. I’m her only hope, but it would take a miracle to earn a happily-ever-after. I’ll have to settle for saving her from greedy, ruthless shifters plotting to overthrow the monarchy — if she’ll even let me.
Still, I’ve always been a dreamer, and I’m not ready to give up hope, love, or the chance to fulfill my true destiny.

Hockey coach Ashley Jaswal doesn't take nonsense from anyone … except her overbearing and superstitious family. They believe she's a good luck charm for her brother Jas, the newest Vancouver Canucks draft pick, forcing Ash to attend all his games as he rises up the NHL ranks, sacrificing her personal life (not that she has one—who decided hockey season needed to be 10 months long anyway?). Story
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

Perfection
Great duel narrators. Loved, loved, loved the finale of the series. Lots of love, plenty of action, a few death-defying feats of bravery...you know, the usual. This story is mainly about Friar Tuck, the not so enthusiastic priest-in-training, and the not so maidenly Maid Marion. Marion is on the run from the dastardly Prince John and is hiding out in the library of the monastery. Lion shifter Tuck happens upon her while doing a favor for a friend and is immediately smitten. He can tell she is also a shifter, but had no idea what kind. Promising to keep her secret is no hardship for Tuck, keeping his feelings for her in check is more of a problem.
There will be plenty of close calls before the HEAs (yes! plural!). Lots of loose ends so be tied up in pretty bows and you will be left wanting more. Perfect. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

LONG LIVE THE KING
LONG LIVE THE KING! Now which king l meant you will have to discover for yourself as you wont be getting any spoilers from me.
If this is the last in this series l am sad to see the happy, good natured characters go but they do deserve their own happy ending so alls well that ends well right?
Now there are some loving sex scenes so be warned.
As usual Anna Lowe's book never fail to entertain and tell an action packed tale of good triumphing over evil despite the odds, o course fate does tend to lend a hand.
Perfectly narratted an a rich yummy male voice for those wholesome shifter men and the womens voices done just right to convey their intelligence and natures.
RECOMMENDED PARANORMAL ADVENTURE SERIES. RECOMMENDED AUTHOR.

Tuck and Marion - The Lion and The ?????
Tempting the Maiden is the third book in the Sherwood Forest Shifters Trilogy and whilst the main story revolves around Maid Marian and Friar Tuck it isn't only their story because this book ties up all the loose ends we were left with in the two earlier books and completes Willa and John's story and we find out how Robyn and Daniel can finally be together and there's even a happy ever after for Robyn's brother Robert!
Marian's a shifter, but you'll be surprised by what type, she's been called the fairest maiden in the land but she's far more than her looks, she's loyal, clever, strong-willed, smart, brave, stubborn and can wield a sword and dagger as well as, if not better than, most men. Friar Tuck is as we know not suited to life in the monastery but as the third son of his noble family, it's expected that he takes his vows. Something he's dreading but something he can see no honourable way of avoiding. On the upside, his position within the clergy has allowed him to help Robyn in the past and being a good man with a caring and thoughtful personality the help he gives to the poor of the parish is sorely needed, but he yearns to be a knight......
Marion and Tuck met in February 1194 when Marian took refuge in the library of Tuck's monastery to hide from and avoid being forced to marry Prince John. Tuck discovered her hiding place when he went to retrieve something from the library one night and he found himself on the wrong end of her dagger. The connection made that night was one Tuck felt could go nowhere, she was of noble birth and the God-Daughter of King Richard whilst he was a penniless third son. But you can't fight destiny and they continued to meet in secret. But then a traitorous monk makes it necessary for her to change her plans. Marion along with Tuck sneak out of the monastery under cover of darkness and set off to rally the noblemen still loyal to King Richard.
They travel to the Manor of Lord and Lady Winthrope where they all make a plan to finally stop Prince John. But.........
This trilogy is a phenomenally entertaining retelling of the tale of Robin Hood. The author's imaginative writing style, vivid scene descriptions and character-building are engaging and as always she's included many surprising twists and turns which will keep you on the edge of your seat. That coupled with the wonderful narration performed by Kelsey Osborne, who has narrated all of the books I have listened to by Anna Lowe and Chris Merlin really added to my enjoyment of this exciting and enthralling conclusion. Kelsey and Chris make a beautiful partnership and I look forward to hearing more of Anna's books done in this way.

Marian and Tuck
even though this book concentrated on Marian and Tuck I like how as a whole this series is wrapped up. A series worth checking out if you enjoy retelling twists on fairy tales.

Such a fun series!
Narrators do a good job. Enjoyed the listening experience. Recommend!
Enjoyed this whole series!! I was fully on board for the Robin Hood aspects for this series and the addition of shifters. So fun! Gotta love some sweet romance too! This one has Marian and Tuck as the leads, but Robynne Hood and the Merrymen are along for the ride too. A dash of intrigue and action as they work towards helping those in need and take down the corrupt. Entertained the whole time!

Tempting the Maiden - Marian and Tuck
This is the last book in the Sherwood Forest Shifters series and it was a fun listen. All of the books in the series were fun and enjoyable. This book had plenty of action and suspense as well as romance and humor. Friar Tuck was meant to be a knight (in his heart) but instead, third born Tuck was to be a priest (he has an out should he choose to use it). Maid Marian is a Noble lady. Although they are a perfect match, destiny had other ideas. Marian sought refuge in a library in the monastery and was found by Tuck. She was determined not to marry the horrible Prince John who is so evil that you are cheering for her to outsmart him. Prince John is something else and I wanted to b!tch slap him for his terrible plans to steal the throne. Luckily, Marian is a very strong woman, which I love. It was so funny all of the booby traps that Marian set in case anyone tried to enter the room she occupied in the monastery. Marian and Tuck are attracted to each other and Tuck will do whatever he can to keep her safe. This series is a great take on Robin/Robynne Hood and her merrymen as well as three very strong women - Robynne, Willa and Marian. A lot happens in this book so check it out - you will not be disappointed. Ms. Lowe did a great job in tying up everything nicely for the couples, including Robert Hood. I highly recommend the entire series. Kelsey Osborne and Chris Merlin did a great job with the narration. As I mentioned in a previous review, Chris is a great addition to the team. I received this free copy audiobook and have voluntarily left this review.

Favourite of the series.
AUDIBLE
Loved this in audible. It was my favourite book in this series. Not because it winds everything up, though it does that nicely, but because it played out so well.
BOOK REVIEW
Such a fun read and it really plays out so well with the previous two books.
I loved the secret side Mariane had and how that worked.
The near ending was nail biting and a great relief when King Richard turned up.
But the best part was from that point on.
It was superb. Really glad the traitorous monk was dealt with.

Satisfying conclusion!
The book concludes the trilogy by bringing Marian and Tuck together. They're a sweet couple who deal with the obstacles facing them as a team. I enjoyed how Prince John and Lord Guy's sister (name escapes me) were handled. The return of the wayward King Richard held an interesting twist.
As someone who doesn't generally enjoy epilogues, I truly enjoyed this one.
Disclosure: I received a free copy of the audiobook.
