No one can understand the feeling of being homeless and hungry until they've experienced it themselves. Through these poems, you will hear the voice of the forsaken; my lost brothers' and sisters'. This collection of poems is very poignant & gives listeners a glimpse into the lives of the people who are homeless, who they are, where they came from. Ms Balcita is a talented writer & I look forward to hearing & reading more of her work. Mr Oberst did a fine job of bringing Ms Balcita's words to life.

When you sit and listen to this book you have to think back and wonder how many of these people have I ran in to. It is crazy to think the extra change in your car can make a world of difference. This book makes you wonder. it is truly an eye opener and it makes you heart sink all at the same time. I plan on purchasing the actual book, and all of the books from this author. Great and inspiring. Knowledgeable and truthful.
