About this listen

When he insults her teammates, she goes for blood. And finds out what payback is like from someone with an inventive, dirty mind.

Harley already knows the dominant, gorgeous man at her friend’s poolside party–because she made him bleed the last time they met. And Damien, a.k.a. Dimples, holds a mean grudge.

She’d love to keep her distance, but Harley needs his help. Damien owns the best investigation agency in Palm Springs, and she has to find someone fast. Her youngest, most vulnerable client is missing, and Harley has a bad feeling.

As they work together, Harley discovers Damien’s sharp, filthy mind behind that handsome face, and she struggles and chafes at their explosive chemistry. But when old ghosts and new enemies threaten, will Harley run? Or will she stay and fight for the kind of life she gave up on years ago? And the man who likes to tie her in (actual) knots?

Fun romance, narrated well, enjoyable listen

Tequila Tuesdays is a fun rom com with some serious themes. It centers around Harley and Damien who both have past traumas but are capable, likable, and very hot together. Damien is a former cop who’s now an investigator and Harley is an attorney with a young teenage client in trouble. The volleyball scenes are great, the supporting cast is fun, and the narrators do a wonderful job of bringing it all to life. A really fun read, and I love the ending.

funny slow burn

The perfect book for anyone looking for a slow burn romance. Harley and Damion meet at a volleyball game where Harley "accidently" almost broke Damion's nose with a spiked ball.

Tequila Tuesdays.

Tequila Tuesdays is a slow-burn romance. Harley is defence attorney and Damien is private investigator.
Story has romance, trauma, suspense and happiness.
This was not what I expected but I enjoyed this story.
Katie Thompson and Troy Duran did great job.

Another Entertaining Story!!

Book two in the series is wonderful! The story continues with the adventures of the Palm Springs crew and their adventures at Martini Mondays and, on occasion, needing some Tequila on a Tuesday after a tough day at work.
The story is different from most stories in this genre (in my opinion at least), in that it is single POV, only from Harley’s perspective. I usually like getting both characters’s thoughts, but the author does a good job getting Damien’s voice out there while not having a chapter from his perspective.

Harley is a fun and kind of tragic character. She had to grow up pretty quick due to issues with her mom and her father passing, so she likes to be in charge and is fiercely loyal to those close to her. She, also, had some other personal tragedies which really made her guard her heart (and also terrible workplace encounters). I liked her drive and her care and all the effort she gives to take care of her clients. But perhaps, she should maybe take some time to have fun in a different way, rather than spiking a volleyball in anyone’s face.
Damien is introduced in the first book as Sebastian’s friend and coworker, so it was fun getting to know him for this story. He’s an interesting character with a great sense of humor and has no trouble making life interesting for Harley. I liked how he really made her step out of her routines and try new activities.

This story is a standalone. It is set in the Palm Springs Poolside series and characters from the previous book all make an appearance, plus some new ones! This story can be enjoyed without reading/listening to the first, but I wholeheartedly recommend enjoying book one prior because it’s a wonderful story and introduces some of the characters in this story.
The story is slow burn with a steamy second half. There is also a light BDSM element for one of the scenes.
There are some triggers in this story: talk of drug use and abuse, drug overdose, child neglect, some minor violence, and loss of family members.

I loved the narrators! It is primarily narrated by the female narrator, with the male narrator only voicing the dialogue from the main male character. The female narrator is the same from the last book and she does a wonderful job voicing Harley! I listened at 1.2x speed.

From Hate to Love

The narrators did a truly fantastic job. I really could feel all the emotions they were going through. Yet another amazingly wonderful book in this series. Harley is a strong, fiercely independent lawyer who has a lot of baggage and emotional damage. Damien is a very cocky investigator who gets put in his place by Harley. These two have a hilarious first meet then end up thrown together cause of mutual friends. I love all the banter and one liners these two throw at each other. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This book truly has it all a little suspense, angst and lots of spice. J.L. Brannick has a way of writing that truly tugs at the heartstrings, be ready for an emotional roller-coaster. I absolutely love Harley, Damien and all their friends. Beyond 5 magnificent stars.

It's Good but I didn't Love It

I'm not sure why, but there was something just a bit on the "unfinished" or "disconnected" feeling on this one for me. It was good, but I didn't love it like I did the previous book.

Thoroughly enjoyed. Sunshine, Palm Springs, spicy

Tequila Tuesdays is the second in this series, but it can be listened to as a stand-alone. Great listen, and kept me engaged and interested. It's a slow-burn, but when the steam comes it's plenty steamy. A grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lovers romance with some serious issues and great supporting characters. Her volleyball team are just too funny. It makes me want to play rec volleyball–the main characters, Damien and Harley, meet while playing rec volleyball. He trash talks, she gets angry and gets even, blood flows, the pursuit ensues. They have both experienced trauma in their past. A lot of banter and trash talk. Great listen, and the narrators do an amazing job.

A Funny, Heartwarming Rom-Com

Thank you to J.L. Brannick for allowing me to listen to a copy of this book. The relationship in this story was so freaking wholesome. And how they worked together, but still had the banter. The banter brought it to a whole different level for me. I am such a sucker for good romantic banter. I really want to check out J.L. Brannick's other works and other books in this series now.

Tequila Tuesdays!

This is a good story about Harley and Damien. It is a spicy romance that develops nicely. I love the characters! He is so great for her. These two have mutual friends and get off to a interesting start. She is a a defense attorney and ends up working with him on case. During this, they start developing more for each other. This is my first story by this author and definitely not my last. I enjoyed every bit of this story and thought the narration was done well.
