About this listen
The first time I met Malcolm Shepherd, I whispered in his ear.
I had my reasons for doing it, which he knew nothing about. It probably seemed a bit odd to him, and he undoubtedly got the wrong idea about me. Because of that, one thing led to another and we ended up kissing only ten minutes after our first introduction.
I said goodbye to him at the end of our brief first encounter, and I thought I would never see him again. Honestly, I believed it would be best if I never saw him again. I had a reputation to uphold, and kissing strangers and whispering in their ear was not on my list of things to get caught doing.
Thankfully, Shep wouldn’t take no for an answer.

I wish we could see Nats art.
This is my favorite of the Memphis Players series. I really enjoyed the story. The narrator was ok. I feel like her voice was to mature for Nat. But I also understand it sorta needed to be. (If that makes sense) Nat had no experience but also traumatic experiences. Anyway, I read/listen to everything Brooke writes. She’s one of my favorites.
