Engaging (too short!) story

Loved the storyline and the characters. I want more!! I realize every book can't be ten hours long, but there are some that should be. I loved seeing the magic between Ryker and Jett spark and grow and would have loved more. Not gonna lie, two things that get me every time are men being good with kids and sweet love notes. I melted listening to both of those in this book.

I thought the narrator did a decent job with the accent but not with the female voice. It did not sound feminine at all and caused a minute of confusion at the beginning of the book. Not enough to make me stop listening but enough for me to check that I had the right book.

No cliffhanger. HEA.

Excellent small town romance. Easy to follow.

This is a small town romance where the MMC suffers a tragedy and due to that his fate is intertwined with the FMC. The story is well written and developed. The characters you will fall in love with and root for them every step of the way. SPOILER....... There is a HEA. It does have some spicy scenes and those are very detailed. The narrator did an excellent job at giving this story life. I easy envision this as he read.

It was just okay

Performance: I was not impressed with Eric Martin. I have listened to other single narrator audiobooks and they at least make an attempt to make character’s voices sound different. There were plenty of times I had to check which POV the chapter was to figure out who was speaking.

Story: It was just okay. There was lots of mundane details that felt like filler. For example: I stuck my credit card in the machine. I waited for the machine to tell me to remove my card. I took my card out etc. But then major plot stuff would happen and the chapter would end abruptly and time would jump. It felt like a bad Hallmark movie at times. The concept behind the story was a good one but it just wasn’t executed well.
