Publisher's summary

After breaking up with the world’s biggest jerk, I’m reluctant to get back into the dating scene. So my best friend, Paula, and I make a deal.

“If it’s ever going bad, shoot me a text, and I’ll come rescue you.”

The only problem?

I send the text to the wrong PP for Professor Alexander.

I met Asher Alexander on a history field trip, three years ago, only giving me his number in case of an emergency.

So there’s no way he’s going to respond now three years later…right?

But then he does more than that. This forty-three year old, silver-haired, muscular alpha appears and saves me from my horrible date.

I almost melt. I’ve been obsessed with him ever since I was an eighteen year old virgin. Now I’m twenty-one, still a virgin, and I’ve been through the wringer.

I expect him to ask me why I sent him a text with my location attached.

But instead, he saves me.

I know he’s just being nice, but I can’t stop dreaming about being with him. I can’t stop fantasizing about his rippling muscles and how safe I’d feel with his powerful arms wrapped around me.

When my ex-boyfriend rears his head, Asher steps in again, leaving me wondering…

Is it possible he feels the same? Does he want me as badly as I want him?

As events escalate, I start to believe that maybe, just maybe, I’m not imagining that possessive jealous glint in his eyes.

Perfectly cheesy! Confusing narration couldn’t tell the difference between FLC and MLC

This book was so ridiculously cheesy, and I absolutely loved it! Virtual narration can be annoying because it’s hard to tell if it’s coming from the female perspective or the male perspective and that’s annoying. Otherwise it was a great book! like Hallmark Christmas movie in all its glory! Definitely recommend!

The virtual voice.

I disliked the monotone virtual voice. Story would have been much better with a human narrator.

Best virtual voice so far

I really don't like the virtual voices, they make it hard to follow character changes. They are also usually o e tone. This book's voice at least made it possible to listen to the story.

The story needs a lot of work. it has decent bones and could have been much better if the adults didn't act like teenagers. They met three years prior and fell instantly in love. They ate strangers and really don't know each other. I liked both characters but you just can't get immersed in their story as they are just jumping ahead and not letting you get to know them. Good for a listen but not a keeper by any means.

Ehh…Good story, but…

Good story, but I think it would be much better if the narrative was not virtual. There were times where I couldn’t figure out who I was listening to.

im sure the outline was good

okay, I went in knowing it was an AI voice. yes some words were mispronounced and dramatic pausing was definatly missed.

I also felt like the story was written by AI., or a 13 year old reading an 80's hustler letter. lets see, we have age gap trope, virgin trope, professor trope, evil exboyfriend trope, lust at first site trope, and pregnancy trope. That alone didnt make it bad, However in 3 hours, between actual character dialog, if I had to drink everytime, an exact phrase was repeated, I'd be passed out on the floor. "y0ung wet h0le" "smile with his tongue hanging out" "helm dripping pre..." btw only one actual "scene" the rest was daydreams.

Also it was hard to distinguish the Pov of Asher and Autumn a few times, mid paragraph it would switch, so I was like huh? perhaps better editing and read some Victorian erotica to get some better descriptions of female and male anatomy.

Virtual voice fail!!

This could’ve been a great short romance. But it’s narrated by a computer that doesn’t understand the emphasis or basic tone of any of the conversations. Also, it uses the same male voice throughout the entire book & many times you’re left waiting for the next sentence to decipher which character is speaking. Not enough to make me stop listening but any author cheapens their work & the readers experience using this not yet there technology.
