Publisher's summary

Welcome to Luxiria, where the twin suns are hot and the alien warriors are hotter!

On Earth, Lainey was the beautiful girl, from a wealthy family, who enthralled thousands of people with her gift of music - a girl who had everything. Or so it seemed...and then, she was abducted by aliens.

When she’s rescued from an intergalactic fighting ring by Luxirians - huge, pierced, seven-foot-tall alien warriors - Lainey lashes out and rebels when taken to their home planet. And when she hears that Luxirians have something inside them that comes alive for their mate? No, thank you - beam her up, Scotty!

Too bad she’s too nosy for her own good and stumbles into the path of an overbearing, dominant alien who demands her complete surrender.

Ambassador Kirov, the Prime Leader’s technology advisor, is a fierce warrior with an unparalleled intelligence that makes him even deadlier. Battling demons of his own, the last thing he expects is to catch a human female, with hair the color of fire and a body that makes him burn, spying on him late at night.

When his instinct awakens for her, Kirov knows he will have to fight to win his little hellion, who tempts his darkest desires and challenges him at every turn. But he’s running out of time, and he’ll have to do something drastic to win her heart, her mind...and her body. Or else, he loses her forever.

Full-length SFR novel with an HEA!

Love this series so much!

While I do love this series, and the end made up for it and really shows her character change for the better at the end: this is my least favorite heroine in the series. Book was good and sad and frustrating and sometimes that one more chapter away from moving on because I don’t like living people that behave like she did, so reading a whole book until the last few chapters with the heroine as someone you really don’t like is rough.

Incredible Story Telling

I don't want cookie cutter alien romances. Zoey Draven provides a well plotted out adventure fantasy with action, mystery and sizzling romance. And, a little darkness that blooms in the light. I want more!

Hitched

I enjoyed this as much as the ones came in the series before it. Only one small complaint the work "hitched" was used at least 24 times in this book. I counted. It got to a point of being an annoyance.

Deep satisfying love story

A beautiful love story on a planet far away; people and places are so vividly portrayed by Zoey Draven, it’s as though she’s really been there.
Laney is a pianist without a piano and being a piano player myself, I could feel her pain at not having her piano that she missed more than anything else on earth.
I could feel the depth of love between her and Kirov, the fierce and highly intelligent warrior who did the unthinkable when he had no other choice. Laney became everything to him and he vowed to protect her forever.
Narration was perfect read by Sierra Grace and the sensual voice of Tristan Josiah.
A superbly satisfying listen.

The inventor and the pianist

Another one of Zoey Draven’s amazing books! Love it everything about it. Lany was the girl I thought would be self centered but she slowly change my mind . Everything that happen, I glad this couple was able to actually communicate their secrets and differences. And work through them together to fined happiness.

Another good story in this series!

Character development: 😠😚😁☺️
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Duet Narration

The Hero: Kirov - an ambassador of Luxiria. He is the technical advisor to the prime leader. He is not happy to have to tell Vaxa’an (the prime leader) that the Luxirian crystal is missing from the capital. It is the only crystal large enough to power a ship all the way back to Earth to return the human females that want to go back to their planet.

The heroine: Lainey - she comes from a wealthy background and was a beautiful woman and a pianist who was loved by all until she was kidnapped by alien sex traffickers and then later rescued by the Luxirians. She wants only to get back to Earth, but is suspicious of the Luxirians motives when the women are sequestered away from the majority of the Luxirians.

The Story: Kirov tells Vaxa’an that the reason the crystal was stolen was because the Luxirian males heard that the human women can awaken their fated mating instinct and they don’t want the women to return to Earth. They are also distressed the women have been kept away from the men in order to protect them from awakening the instinct in men so they have their choice to return home. Though Kirov tells Vaxa’an that if he happens to see a female that awakens his instinct, he won’t let anything come between them.

Lainey thinks something is fishy when she hears about other human females wanted to stay with their “mates” and she thinks they are being jailed and the whole mating instinct story as well as the fact the crystal has been stolen is a load of bull a is determined to prove it. When Kirov sees beautiful Lainey spying on him in a private moment his instinct awakens. he does everything he can to win her over so she stays on Luxiria with him rather than return to Earth after the crystal is found.

This book was told in dual points of view via duet narration, and was narrated by Sierra Grace and Tristan Josiah like the rest of this series. I am liking this series, though it is not all that different than many other alien romance stories. The whole thing with the plague and a race that needs females to mate with and have babies with to continue their race has been done in the majority of alien romance books. Though it is a good trope and I don’t mind reading it over and over. I also can’t resist anything done in duet narration. I love it when the female narrator doesn’t have to do male voices and vice versa.

I like that Kirov is a technology guy, and that he creates different things for Lainey like a little robotic sun shade and he makes a computer tablet for one of the other women to draw on. Though I still think it odd that in alien romance, none of the other societies, whether they are technologically advanced or not, have anything similar to television, even when they have better computers and communicators. I would think that would be something that naturally would evolve in more civilizations than just ours.

Love these stories

Love the storyline, Lainey had just enough attitude without going over the top and was likable; Kirov was also very likable and interesting. The narrators did an excellent job with characters as usual; they work well together. On to the next book!
