About this listen

In bedtime stories, anyone can be a superhero.

It’s the middle of winter, and a blizzard is tearing past the W’s farm. Safe in the lower barn, Big is calling on all his creativity to tell Misty-Bird the best rest-time tale he can think up. And by George, it’s a doozy.

Meet Misty-Bird—the superhero cat—helper to the poor, weak, and lost animals of the world. He’s a do-gooder, a champion of others. A nobler heart you can’t find anywhere.

When an odd group of critters shows up in the woods, can Misty-Bird figure out who’s lying and who’s telling the truth? Time is running out for him to save an entire kingdom from falling into the wrong paws, but the hero needs to decide who’s trying to help him and who wants to stop him.

Do all superheroes fly? Or can you be one even without special abilities?

I didn’t listen to all of it but my husband and I both agreed that we did not like the narration. On the plus side, I did like some of the different character accents and while I didn’t care for the narration overall, the kids didn’t care and the 7-year-old even wanted to listen to all of the extras at the end of the book. : )

7-year-old loved it
