Until her twelve sisters are trapped in a deadly game with a breathtaking prize-one that can only be won by a man desperate enough to risk everything. Only Ilani can see the danger, but who will listen to a cursed princess? No one, except perhaps a handsome foreigner, whose motives remain shrouded in secrecy and mistrust.

Great job

Very compelling story. Very good narrator. Creative interpretation of fairy stories--not totally predictable. Enjoyed. Clean romance. Has some dark elements--not for children.

Mainly good

The story I really enjoyed as it’s a great deal for a credit and they were well thought out. I really enjoyed the romance and plot. However, the narrator sounds much too old as well as would not stop gulping constantly. Perhaps it is unfair of me but it was very difficult to listen to due to this. I don’t know if the microphone is just too loud or what but I could hear every single gulp almost every other sentence she spoke. I don’t know if she was gulping water or spit but i have an aversion to the sound of loud gulping. If you also can’t stand that sound I would just want to warn you that it will be a hard listen as you cringe at every single gulp but want to hear the story.

I love revised fairy tales

These are very fun books. I like how they don't follow the fairy tales perfectly but have similarities to the originals. I appreciate clean, fun, romance. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Not a retelling

Fairytales should have magic, the Rumple story was just bizarre, unbelievable but not in a fun or imaginative way, just bizarre and borderline ridiculous. Oddly, adding a magic element would have made the story more believable. The characters were not particularly likeable, least of all the main character, and the "love" story was cringy, unrelateable and fraught with painfully contrived "tension" that added nothing but greater length for the listener to slog through before coming mercifully to the end. Bizarre story, dull characters, not at all a fun tale, glad it's over.
