About this listen

We've all heard them: Show don't tell; Kill your darlings; Use significant detail. In this clever, quick-moving account of a love affair gone wrong, writing rules frame a deeper truth of the fictions we tell ourselves when we fall in and out of love.

A Great Story-A Writer's Story

Not only a wonderful story about a universal relationship, but a true depiction of all the literary precepts included in the tale. As this relationship slips into the inevitable, we are shown how to write the story in the first place.

A perfect example of what fiction should do while also making fun of the rules. A very enjoyable listen, one that most will relate to.

Needless Drivel

Well, that was 18 minutes wasted on a story about sex with a married man and the very expected consequences of participating is such foolishness.
