About this listen

USA Today Best Selling Author Leslie Pike brings you a deliciously steamy second-chance love story.

Struggling artist Oliver London will do whatever it takes to keep his dream alive—whether it’s posing as a figure model, surviving on the bare essentials, and sharing his dingy apartment with a spirited Jack Russell Terrier.

With no time or means for a relationship, Oliver has resigned himself to a solitary life. Besides, his heart has never truly moved on from the one who got away.

Stori Ryder’s turbulent past has fueled her relentless drive to succeed. Now, as the owner of Whisky River, Manhattan’s hottest speakeasy, she’s laser-focused on her goals. Romance? It’s not part of her five-year plan. She’s never forgotten the boy who once held her heart—the one who vanished without explanation, leaving her to wonder what could have been.

Two decades ago, Oliver and Stori shared a love that felt infinite. First love, after all, leaves an indelible mark—a connection that time and distance can’t erase.

When mutual friends invite them to a lavish wedding cruise along the French Riviera, their paths collide once more. Suddenly, the past comes rushing back: the stolen kisses, the electric touches, the love that never truly faded.

But can they make it last forever this time?

Steamy second chance story

The Art Of Love is the second book in this series. The storytelling is this book is good. I enjoyed the narrators too. Oliver and Stori loved each other in high school, but life kept them apart. When they reconnect the chemistry is off the charts steamy, and they reconnect over a wedding trip. They are there for each other through life’s challenges, and they live happily ever after.

Sexy and sweet

This book was so cute! Another wholesome love story from Leslie Pike. This story followed high school sweethearts, Oliver and Stori.

Oliver is a starving (literally) artist and Stori is an upscale speakeasy bar owner. They’re reunited after 17 years to attend their best friends’ wedding. Their best friends are Fig and Zara who appear in the first book of the series, ‘The Book of Love’.

So they reconnect and go on a cruise of the French Riviera with the bride and groom and fall madly in love.

They face small hardships in life but not in love. It’s another great example of a beautiful love story with no third act breakup and the spice is perfect.

I listened to it on audio and adored it! The voice actors are two of my favorites. If you love an uncomplicated love story, you’ll love this one.

Charming, sexy romance!

What a sweet, sexy and emotional second chance romance! Stori and Oliver were high school sweethearts. They are reconnecting after a misunderstanding that kept them apart for years thanks to their best friends. The slow burn build up in the most beautiful setting and conditions was so romantic. But when they return home and they are faced with the real world, their love and support is tested. This was a bit slow for me at first but it only picked up speed and kept me totally engaged.
Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are terrific storytellers. Their portrayal of the each character was spot on as they give each character their own voice and personality, bringing them to life so clearly. I really enjoyed their performance of this charming, sexy romance!

The Art of Love

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

✈️second chance at love
✈️match making friends
✈️young love

The Art of Love is book two in the Love in Italy series. I love how we got more of Fig and Zara's storyline along with Stori and Oliver's. Stori and Oliver had young love. They were ripped apart when Stori's father went to prison. Stori and her mother were forced to move in with her maternal grandmother. Now many years later they are brought back together. Zara and Fig have stayed in touch with Stori and Oliver separately through the years. Zara and Fig are playing match maker. The flame between Stori and Oliver instantly sparked the moment they laid eyes on each other once again. Loved their love and chemistry.

Kia Kennicott and Wen Ross did a fantastic job narrating this book in duet style narration.

Second Chance Romance

ALC AUDIOBOOK REVIEW:

Love in Italy • Book 2

Narrated By: Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott

Oliver and Stori We’re high school lovers but when Stori family life takes a turn for the worse they leave town without a word, and unfortunately that means Stori must leave Oliver too.
After 17 Years?!
They are reacquainted and the moment their eyes connect, all their love and memories come rushing back. The chemistry is strong but the hurt is deep and before anything can be fixed between the two of them, the conversation of what happened all those years ago must be had. I loved the automatic chemistry between Oliver and Stori, it was obvious they were soulmates. What I loved most about them was that no matter what was happening they put each other first. Narrated in dual by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott with all the fun and sexy tones, they expressed these too so well. I loved having our past favorites Fig and Luca along for the ride and I adore all the second Chance love stories coming back full cirrcle.
