About this listen
Don’t get left behind – find out what it takes to be a great modern-day leader in a fast-paced, rapidly changing landscape
The evolution of leadership is nothing short of remarkable – in fact, it is unrecognizable from what it was just a decade ago.
As technology races ahead, cultural boundaries blur, and workplace dynamics shift at an unprecedented pace, leaders also have to keep up with the changes on top of the usual challenges.
A recent study reveals that between 50% and 70% of leaders don't make it past their first year and a half, regardless of being newly hired or promoted from within.
This shocking number clearly shows the world is in the middle of a leadership crisis.
The implications? On one hand, there's a trail of unfulfilled potential… and on the other, a path laden with opportunity for those ready to step up.
Every day, you are bombarded with decisions that test your resilience, empathy, and adaptability.
Success stories are everywhere, telling of leaders who transformed challenges into steppingstones, fostering environments where creativity and productivity bloom in the face of adversity.
Yet, for every story of triumph, there are untold tales of leaders struggling to connect with their diverse teams, stay abreast of technology, and maintain a vision in turbulent times.
The call for a new breed of leaders has never been louder or clearer.
Those who rise to the occasion are not just surviving; they are thriving, shaping the future with every decision and interaction.
This book is your guide through the complexity and challenges of 21st-century leadership.
Inside, you will discover:
• How to use emotional intelligence as your superpower – connect, empathize, and lead with a heart that understands the pulse of your team.
• The art of being both a coach and a mentor – and ways to inspire, guide, and grow future leaders while enhancing your own leadership style.
• Strategies for creating inclusive teams – understand the richness diversity brings and how to harness it for innovative and robust team dynamics.
• Hacks to weave technology into your leadership fabric – balance the human touch with tech-savvy solutions to drive efficiency and innovation.
• How to embrace risk, foster creativity, and lead your team to navigate through uncertainty with confidence
• Effective ways to build resilient organizations – make your team adaptable, strong, and ready to face any challenge!
• A 21-day guide designed to transform your approach to leadership – with step-by-step, day-by-day instructions and reflections that challenge you to think differently, act boldly, and lead with impact.
And much more!
Whether you’re just about to step into a leadership role or you're already in one but feeling stuck, this book is your wake-up call.

Excellent leadership read
This book is a good read for leaders and aspiring leaders. It shows how leadership has changed so much in just the last few years. With technology moving fast and workplaces becoming more diverse, leaders need new skills. One surprising fact I learned is that many leaders don't last more than a year and a half. This book can help you avoid that by teaching you how to connect with your team better, being a good coach, and mentor, all while helping others grow. Good leadership that applies to all leaders, regardless of industry.

A unique look at leadership in the modern world
G.Gagliardi has created a modern take on what it means to lead the pack and utilizes a heavy emphasis on technology (AI, and much more), to advocate for both veteran and newbie leaders and management position holders alike. My favorite takeaway from this audio title is the emphasis on tapping into other people’s (and your own) emotions in order to not just make workplace, family life, or any other leadership scenario a goal-orientated means to an end, but works to create an environment of actual human connection–something so many leaders are missing or just boycott altogether–probably because they have a hard time tuning into their own feelings and emotional intelligence. This is a super unique look at leadership in the modern world.

A Fantastic Book on Leadership We all Need
After listening to The Art of Modern Leadership in the 21st Century, I gained some powerful nuggets to add to my toolbox. I love listening to books on leadership and being resilient. Our company is laying off so many people, and the insights of this book are helping tremendously.
Today, more than ever, as the author shares in the audiobook many managers don't get to the higher ranks without specific skills. As he shared in the book, elevating our emotional intelligence and leading with empathy, is an especially useful trait. The examples in the audiobook are helpful, and I highly recommend this book. The narrator is outstanding and easy to listen to.
