About this listen
A "freedom manifesto" for anyone wanting to break away from their unremarkable life - inspired by a blog sensation.
If you've ever thought, "There must be more to life than this", The Art of Non-Conformity is for you.
Based on Chris Guillebeau's popular online manifesto "A Brief Guide to World Domination", The Art of Non-Conformity defies common assumptions about life and work while arming you with the tools to live differently. You'll discover how to live on your own terms by exploring creative self-employment, radical goal-setting, contrarian travel, and embracing life as a constant adventure.
Inspired and guided by Chris's own story and those of others who have pursued unconventional lives, you can devise your own plan for world domination - and make the world a better place at the same time.

"This is a direct, honest and truly scary book. I hope you have the guts to listen to what Chris has to say, and not become one of the monkeys he warns you about." (Seth Godin, author of Linchpin)
"The Art of Non-Conformity is like a lightning bolt to the head. Read it and your brain will spark and sizzle." (Neil Pasricha, author of The Book of Awesome)
"The conventional world order has blown up, much to the relief of students, cubicle dwellers, artists and activists who knew there was a better way. This brilliant book will wake you up and inspire you as it guides you to create a new life on your own terms, earn a great living and positively impact your corner of the world." (Pamela Slim, author of Escape from Cubicle Nation)

It would be nice if Chris finished a story first before he went to another example. The back and forth is liable to give someone sea sickness.
If you can stay on Thrace with what Chris talks about there are some very good points are put out for you to take and run with.
