A STAND-ALONE CHRISTIAN POST-APOCALYPTIC NOVEL
Shon was studying abroad when she thought God told her to return home. Without hesitation, she packed up and caught the next flight back to the States. The moment her plane touched down, bombs went off across the US. She didn't know if this was the start of World War III or the end of the world.
Surely, God hadn't called her home for this...?
The bombs destroyed almost everything. And whatever was left withered away in the radiation left behind, forcing survivors to live indoors or underground. The world outside is dead now. Barren. But Shon hears rumors of a settlement for Christians seeking shelter, and she suddenly remembers God's words to her years ago. With nothing but the clothes on her back, Shon sets out in search of this haven, daring to cross the American wasteland alone as she looks for her family in the Barren Fields.

surprising
while I feel this is a retelling of walking dead. I'm more surprised at how bringing in Christian views and feelings made this so much more! even scenes of despair had me in my feelings!. I was angry and upset and happy and excited and scared throughout the whole book! what a great story. this was my second Christian book and I have to say it was incredible.

Great story
I love apocalyptic books but dislike all the cussing. This book met my expectations! I loved hearing the growth of Shon's faith and strength. There is action...faceless and just evil people. Best of all there is Godly faith! Loved it.

Breath of fresh air for those looking for Christian fiction
This story is so good and original. I am so excited to read all of her books. I am on a journey to let go off smut books. I thought it would be difficult to get into a book
That did not involve sex scenes. But this book was so good. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the narrator, but I so glad I pushed through and kept listening. 10000/10

This is the entire story. I appreciate the story ends in this book, no buying a sequel to get to the end. That saying, if there was another book about different characters in the first book, I would read it. Well written with great narration

Wow!
The best love Christian story in a post apocalyptic era. The faith that was in Shon was amazing (reminded me of Kind David- after God’s own heart). The resemblance of Goshen with the 12 Springs Camp. Loved it.

Captivating from the beginning.
It was wonderful to see a Christian writer actually use and interweave the Gospel into their story, even in a apocalyptic setting. I loved the characters and the way the story progressed. The narration was perfect. I can't wait to enjoy more of her books.
