About this listen

She was only meant to make the royal wedding gown, not wear it.

Belle never dreamed of ballrooms or crowns—she dreamed of seams and silks, of becoming the most sought-after dressmaker in all of Solmane. But when the fae princess flees her arranged marriage, Belle is left holding the wedding gown. As the fearsome Beast Prince prowls towards her looking to collect his bride, it's either pretend to be the fairy princess so her dress gets a chance to be seen by potential new clients or get sent back home poor and empty handed. She only has to hold the lie while the guards hunt down the runaway. But standing before the Beast Prince with his powerful form and disarming mix of gruffness and vulnerability, Belle discovers something she didn’t bargain for: a heart that might finally understand hers.

Born cursed in a partial shift between man and beast, Prince Adom of Pridehaven has resigned himself to a marriage he never wanted. Marrying the fae princess chosen by the moon god is the only way to break his family's curse and rid the land of the trolls that plague them. Love has no place in his life. But the woman standing before him is nothing like he imagined—spirited, sincere, and entirely captivating. Against all odds, Adom’s frozen heart begins to thaw.

Too bad secrets have a way of unraveling even the most carefully stitched plans. Belle isn't the real princess, and marrying Adom won’t break his curse leaving the fate of his kingdom and both their futures at stake.

On Lunaterra, fate is a cruel matchmaker—binding enemies, forging impossible alliances, and turning betrayal into desire. When kingdoms fall, curses rise, and war looms, love is the most dangerous game of all.

This was my first time with this author. One of my favorite authors, Theodora Taylor, put in her newsletter that she has been invited to write a story for the Lunaterra series. I became intrigued.

I expected the same retelling of Beauty and the Beast as other romance/erotica retellings. This one was slightly different. Both characters were well-defined. Belle was sweet, naughty, and a little bratty. Adam was a beastly alpha. Their insta-love, spicy, fast-paced romance was a great listen. I thought for a moment it would end on a cliffhanger, but Adam and Belle had a HEA. I did enjoy the inclusion of Jorge and Charlotte and the introduction to their story. I am interested in reading other stories in this series. I hope the other stories are made into audiobooks.

This is a really fun and sweet retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Belle and Adom have a fast pace story with magic, spice and twist. Their story is very well written and easy to get hooked on with the detailed world building. I love the narration of the audio book especially with the gruff male voice included in the narration. It really brought the audio book to life.

It's a great retelling of beauty and the beast with a fairy twist on it. Belle goes along with the princess who is destined to marry the beast prince to stop a war. Belle just wants to become a famous designer, but fate has other ideas. The princess runs away and belle must take her place till they bring the princess back. Will belle and the beast find love or will she reject him for his beastly ways. This was definitely a good listen. I loved the voices I can't wait for the next installment

This was a good beauty and the beast retelling. We’ve got Belle a seamstress who’s thrust into playing the role of a princess and Adom the cursed prince. Belle doesn’t get much of a choice and in beginning she’s more interested in her creations being seen. Their first meeting was really cute. There’s a good amount of spice in this. I also really enjoyed the multiple PoVs getting to know what characters thought of each other. And the end leaves things open for some of the characters. I had a lot of fun reading this. Narrators did a fantastic job too which brought the story even more to life!

The Beastly Crown is a part of the brand-new The Lunaterra Chronicles series written by many wonderful authors that happen to share the same universe. I really enjoyed this Beauty and the Beast fairytale retelling. The story was really well done and it’s just so much was packed into a short time span. Some of the story did get confusing at times. I believe if there had been a little more world building that this issue would have immediately been solved. Also the male and female narrators didn’t match up very well. The male’s voice was so deep to encapsulate the beast at times that it was very hard to understand. I believe cutting back some of the growl would have made it perfect and completely understandable for the entire duration. Other than those few things I would highly recommend this book to anyone. It was just thoroughly entertaining and I’m super curious to see how this world expands.

Definitely a Belle and beast story to fall in love with. I actually listened to this one, I’m just getting into audio books. And the voice actors were perfect for this. The voice for Adam did an amazing growl. For the story I loved how it brought us Belle and the beast but also a unique twist of the curse. We also get fairies and shifters as the main characters. There is some danger and the beast shows us how powerful he is. Belle is a sweetheart. I love how she views him and definitely that view used an interesting twist at the end for her. There is plenty of heat and drama. Definitely recommend to any PNR reader or listener.

Love the beast and Belle is such a sweetheart

Beastly crown is an interesting twist on Beauty and the Beast with the only real connection between the 2 stories was a beast with a curse. Great character voices made the story come alive and left this listener wanting the next installment with two characters who were minors in this story. Spicy, charming and well told overall. Enjoy!

Good lordt gravy, so woooooo…these narrators did this story JUSTICE!!!! I had to register to the prologue a couple times just to get my brain to focus on the actual story. The author chose the PERFECT narrator to bring Adom to life. Holy moley guacamole… I normally listen to books @ 1.7x-2.0x speed but I slowed down my listen to a 1.0x so I could drag out this book a lil longer…
With that being said, this was everything I was hoping for and so much more. I finished this book in just a few hours and I’m so sad it’s over but I can’t wait for Charlotte and Jorge’s story…this book ended how I was hoping the Beauty and the beast would end…Good girl Belle for liking your man the way you fell in love with him 🤣
I 👏 am 👏 here 👏 for 👏 it! 👏 👏 👏

This was everything I wanted this book to be!

I enjoyed this take on the Beauty and the Beast. This being one of my all time favorite classics, I loved listening to an adult version. Belle falls for Adom and just wants to be with him. She doesn’t care about being queen or any of that. I am happy they fall for each other even though everyone was pushing him to be with Charlotte. I am looking forward to reading more books by this Author.

Someone loves the beast as he is!
