About this listen

Not all scars are visible.

William Hart returned from war a damaged and brutal man. Eleanor Abbott had been worn down by years of remorse. Between them, however, stood Millie, a precocious 10-year-old desperate to find a place to call home.

The Bell, Unrung is the story of these three wounded souls and their quest for redemption and love.

An outstanding novel!

This book has beautifully drawn characters, and an attention to detail that made them people that I cared to know more about. The plot was interesting and well paced. The characters became so real to me that, although I loved the ending, I was a little sorry when the book was over. Narration was excellent.

Excellent novel - it captures the heart!

This is an excellent novel with rich detail of a past era. It is a complicated story told by weaving the past with the present so that the reader gets a feel for the full measure of the main characters. You find yourself hoping for the right ending and you won't be disappointed. The Author has written an excellent novel that holds your interest from the early pages to the last. And, if you grew up in a small town or farming community you will recognize something that seems familiar and peaceful even given the hardships of the times and circumstances. The Narrator did an excellent job. Jack Clancy has a rich voice, and gets the voice of each character just right. Thumbs up for this novel and the narration!
