About this listen
The Bible-Centered Leader is one of a series of eight books in my “Biblical Leadership Essentials Series” that is designed to facilitate “transformational learning” for establishing a foundation in “spirit and truth” (John 4:24) that will stand the test of time and help you meet the challenges of learning how to be “lovers in a dangerous time.” (Musician Bruce Cockburn)
Based on Psalm 1:3, J. Robert Clinton, Having a Ministry That Lasts, defines a Bible-centered leader as:
“A leader whose leadership is informed by the Bible, who
has been personally shaped by biblical values, has grasped
the intent of Scriptural books [and passages] and their
content in such a way as to apply them to current
situations and who uses the Bible in ministry so as to
impact followers.” (p. 26, 30)
This book is an introduction to Clinton’s concept of a Bible-centered leader by exploring the nature of biblical revelation and its essential role in knowing the truth (Knowledge), knowing how to apply the truth (Wisdom), and living the truth (Transformation) as it relates to the development and impact of character, competencies, and calling for personal transformation and leadership effectiveness. This book is designed to be a stand-alone volume, but for those of you who want to go “deeper” in your understanding and processing of the redemptive possibilities of living the truth as a Bible-centered leader, I have developed a “discovery learning” workbook titled The Bible-Centered Leader Workbook that you can purchase on Amazon.com.
