About this listen

"And gave him [Christ] to be head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all" (Eph. 1:22, 23).

As Christ the head is a reality, so the church as the body of Christ is a reality. To many, however, the body of Christ is a vague, nebulous, and abstract term. It's merely a beautiful concept or a noble theory. It's not a living reality as is presented in the scriptures. The time has come, and now is, that all who seek the Lord should enter into a new understanding of the body of Christ. We need to see that the body of Christ is a life that we live in. It ought to become our daily experience.

In this little volume of collected messages selected for the unity of their subject matter and given by the author through years of faithful ministry, Watchman Nee attempts to show us the reality of the body of Christ. He proves to us that the body of Christ is founded on life and life consciousness. It's built on a living relationship among its members, as well as with its head. This body is governed by its own laws, and blessed are those who discover these laws and follow them. To them, the body of Christ is indeed a living reality. May God grant to all who listen to this audiobook wisdom and strength for living in the reality of the body of Christ.

Profound & Explosively enlightening!

Loved listening to the reading of the book. It was quite eye-opening indeed.
Oh how we need to know that as Christians we are all connected, that the body is not a metaphor for unity or oneness but that it is infact the state of things. Fellowship with each other helps us grow stronger, isolation is not body-like. We need to love each other and fellowship with one another. In him we move and live and have our being!

not individual, not denominational, but corporate

so being denominational isnt being one with the body because you are separated from the whole, you shouldnt bunch into prayer groups etc for similar reasoning; stand in absolute corporation not as an individual or small group. but to continue the analogy Nee used about the cells working in service to the body lets their individualism do damage, in god's creation as we actually observe it; nature is the beautiful aggregate of the individualistic aims of each creature from the macro to microscopic, working to better themselves, most often in direct opposition to competitors. so as likewise what is best for our corporation is the aggregate of free and self interested individual actions, i will aim to be a noble but self interested individual who balances my ego so as gods will may help guide my personal pursuits.

Watchman Nee is a favorite of mine

Watchman Nee is precious to me, and the speaker avoids the temptation to include his personal opinions by inflection. Enjoyed this very much.
