Publisher's summary

Whose sermons are quoted most in the Bible? The answer may surprise you. Deuteronomy is essentially a series of sermons by the greatest Old Testament prophet. Jesus himself quoted more from Deuteronomy than from any other portion of the Old Testament. Just as the New Testament epistles are our primary interpretive commentary on the historical narratives (the Gospels and Acts), the most venerated portion of the Old Testament - the Torah - has within it its primary commentary in the form of three sermons by Moses.

I think Chuck Missler was truly inspired by God!

Nothing in all my life has reached deep into my soul to explain the word of God more than this man. My favorite preacher, without a doubt.

Chuck Missler is an amazing steward of the Word.

Dr Chuck Missler is one of the best teachers of Gods Word that I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. He's like a microscope that discovers each and every fingerprint of the Holy Spirit no matter how minute.

A Comprehensive Study of The Sermons of Moses!

Wow. The book of Deuteronomy under the careful scrutiny and precision of Dr. Missler is an engaging experience that people who love the word of God need to take full advantage of! As you may know, Jesus quoted Deuteronomy more than any other book of the Bible, and, in addition to the fact that this is the last book of the Torah (Genesis-Deuteronomy), it doesn’t surprise me that Chuck paid extra close, painstaking attention to just how powerful and dynamic this book really is! This is now my 8th Bible commentary I’ve completed from Mr. Missler and he continues to prove just how diligent and passionate he is about teaching you the enormous complexities and treasures of the Bible that many other commentators don’t really delve into. Often times Chuck quotes a verse from Hebrews "God rewards the diligent." Well, that's exactly what he is with his Bible studies. Only someone who is as committed and faithful as Dr. Missler is could open your mind to such awesome discoveries you won't find elsewhere! His handbook on Deuteronomy (I HIGHLY recommend you purchase handbooks with ALL of his commentaries) alone is almost 300 pages! It’s simply mind boggling how many additional insights he gives you plus the scriptures! He reads each verse, and then, thoroughly dissects each one to not only help you understand how they relate to the rest of the Bible, but also, how they correspond with your own life and society today in general. Understand that you’ll be coming back to this commentary again and again to attentively learn just how important and profound Moses’ sermons were then and are NOW to the body of Christ. This is an essential Bible study to have in your library! Enjoy and God bless!

Not entirely abridged

This cuts out prayer, at the end and beginning of a few sessions, a couple very abruptly. However, the lessons are not abridged. Lazy Christians, or those who are not interested in ascertaining Mr. Missler’s prayer life might not mind, but, prayer is essential. I do understand that repetition in prayer is nonsense, so the cuts don’t bother me.

That said, this is a great study. I especially liked the last session where the various ways the tribes of Israel are listed each of 20 times in the Bible differs. But I’m left with a nagging thought. Why only 20?

The last of the 5 books of Moses

Excellent food for thought in this verse-by-commentary from Chuck Missler. I'm so excited to hear more from Chuck in the future and, of course, am excited to meet my brother face-to-face when the time comes. Praise God for His goodness, for His Son Yeshua, and for His faithfulness to lead us into all truth by His Spirit!
