Publisher's summary
The books of Joshua, Judges, and Ruth recount the compelling journey of Israel’s beginnings and awe-inspiring history. Watch God’s people transition from wanderers to conquerors as told by The Passion Translation®.
Begin with the book of Joshua, which reveals the secrets of conquest and details jaw-dropping victories and devastating defeats. Then study the rich portraits of the various men and women, who distinguished themselves as champions of faith, challenging the status quo in Israel when they had neither a king nor a prophet to lead them. Conclude with the book of Ruth and its enchanting love story. See mercy triumph over judgment, famine lead to harvest, and despair transform into delight.
This triad of Old Testament books reveals God’s sovereignty and assures us that we have the courage to conquer, and will overcome the impossible for his good purposes.

The book of Genesis is God’s autobiography and the foundation upon which all revelation rests. The purpose of this book is to give the origin of all things, including the cosmic order of the universe and the covenant relationship between God and his people. Speaking the Word from his eternal dwelling place of light, God fashioned everything from nothing, perfectly displaying his awesome wonder. We will never be able to take the mystery out of creation, for a God who is incomprehensible in his greatness accomplished it.

Story
Of all the sixty-six books that comprise our Bible, the last book is meant to thrill and exhilarate the believer like none other. A beautiful Christ is unveiled while a company of overcoming saints is seen rising into the fullness of Christ. The book of Revelation is exciting, powerful, and dynamic. But it must be more to us than merely an unveiling of events to come. Revelation must be an experience of encountering the living Christ. God is ready to unveil this book to those who are ready to receive it, eat it, and live fully in the splendor of Christ. The unveiling is more than a vision given to John, but is also meant to be an inward discovery, a delightful unveiling within you. This is not a drama of Satan’s worst, but a supernatural drama of God’s best, pouring through his beautiful Son, Jesus Christ.

Imagine a letter coming straight from heaven. What would God say? Would we be able to fully understand his message, or would some of it puzzle us? The Apostle Paul writes this compilation of letters to the First-Century churches he established. He wanted them to know the heart of God and hear his message of truth and love. Some of the most beautiful truths of the Bible are found in the letters from Paul.

Story
The book of Luke is a glorious gospel penned by one of the early followers of Jesus. It has been described as the loveliest book ever written giving us a very full picture of the life and ministry of Jesus. Luke applied scrupulous accuracy to all he wrote, to ensure that what we hear is factual. Being a physician, Luke learned early on the need to exhibit compassion and mercy toward others. This gospel is perhaps the most compassionate, love-filled account of the life of Jesus.

Story
Over the last 500 years, blood-red moons have fallen on the first day of Passover three separate times. These occurrences were connected to some of the most significant days in Jewish history: 1492 (the final year of the Spanish Inquisition when Jews were expelled from Spain), 1948 (statehood for Israel and the War of Independence) and 1967 (the Six-Day War). Every heavenly body is controlled by the unseen hand of God, which signals coming events to humanity. There are no solar or lunar accidents.

When Jesus spoke about the last days, He said that certain signs would make it clear His return is near. What are those signs? And are they evident today? As a Jewish-native Israeli who is a Christian, Amir Tsarfati has a distinct perspective that weaves biblical history, current events, and Bible prophecy together to shine light on the mysteries about the end times. From his vantage point at the epicenter of today’s religious conflict and through careful Bible study, Tsarfati points to Scripture passages that inform us the return of the Lord is imminent.

Story
The book of Jeremiah shares a detailed, personal narrative of Judah’s capture and exile. Jeremiah’s heart broke for his people as he prophesied and suffered alongside them, but his tearful warnings of judgment are pierced by soaring promises of a new heart and a beautiful future. The book of Lamentations is the deeply poetic cry of the Weeping Prophet after the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. It provides a prayerful and liturgical framework to mourn loss, voice grief, and confess sin while still hoping in God’s ever-present mercy and forgiveness.

Yes yes yes yes yes
Appreciate, thankful and love God’s word, beautifully he works in destitute, rejected, and far away people, eg Moab an enemy! So encouraged by it all, and also convicted, because I so easily and naturally identify with Orpah that the familiar is “safer” and people pleasing. Ruth took action, not looking back, and. ….. wow, look at the amazing fruit not only king David, but more wondrously our saviorYeshua!!

Remarkable Storylines from Courage to Conquer
Wow! Wow! Wow! There wasn't one full moment throughout The Books of Joshua, Judges and Ruth.
I was intrigued by the details and flow. as I read, I felt like I was always on the edge of my seat...
But one thing was for sure, I knew that Yahweh would redeem and rescue His people.
The patterns throughout each book have us insights as to how God operates.
I absolutely loved it!

Wonderful to listen to history of God’s faithful lovingkindness towards people, and their faithful lovingkindness towards one another —recorded in the lives of Naomi, Ruth, and Boaz. Passion translation reads like a story, with creative and thoughtful elements.
