About this listen

"Mommy, I used to be a tall baseball player."

"Yes, you will be a tall baseball player someday."

With a look of exasperation, he stomped his foot and hollered.

"No! I was a tall baseball player - tall like Daddy!"

What was my son trying to say to me? Did he mean...he couldn't mean...was he trying to tell me that he was a grown-up in a previous lifetime?

At the tender age of two, baseball prodigy Christian Haupt began sharing vivid memories of being a baseball player in the 1920s and '30s. From riding cross-country on trains to his fierce rivalry with Babe Ruth, Christian described historical facts about the life of American hero and baseball legend Lou Gehrig that he could not have possibly known at the time.

Distraught by her son's uncanny revelations, Christian's mother, Cathy, embarked on a sacred journey of discovery that would shake her beliefs to the core and forever change her views on life and death.

In this compelling and heartwarming memoir, Cathy Byrd shares her remarkable experiences, the lessons she learned as she searched to find answers to this great mystery, and a story of healing in the lives of these intertwined souls.

The Boy Who Knew Too Much will inspire even the greatest skeptics to consider the possibility that love never dies.

Fascinating Story

The story is fascinating, I'm just sorry that the author chose to read it - she sounds like she has a lisp and I found it so distracting that I actually stopped the book several times.

The content is worth getting through it though and while I'm not terribly religious or spiritual this book brought me a new kind of peace and perspective. Thank you for sharing your story.

Amazing!

When I read the description of this book, I couldn't help but want to read it. My daughter knew too much at the age of 2. She talked about her other mommy and daddy. This book makes me wish I had talked to her more about it. Crazy, strange, amazing things out of the mouths of babes.

Great Story

I liked everything about the book, I dont believe in reincarnation, but the book was very interesting. Unlike other reviews I enjoyed the Authors narration, it seemed as if you were at a fireside chat with her and truley made the book more believable. Great Job Cathy Byrd.

Incredible story of love knowing no boundaries

I bought this book after reading Hay House’s Reid Tracy’s review / even though I know he’s the publisher, I also was so enthralled with how he spoke of this story. I grew up Catholic, and Catholics do not traditionally believe in reincarnation. Hearing how Cathy, a Christian mom also grappling with her faith as she listened to her young son tell his truth about who he was, I had more curiosity & openness to learn more. I love how she came to balance her faith as she also opened her mind to something that seemed so improbable yet fit. I recommend this book to anyone who loves family stories, loves baseball, and the creative way Love continues over lifetimes - even if we don’t completely understand the “how”.
