Publisher's summary

By the time of his death in 2023, Tom Horn was the CEO of the celebrated SkyWatch TV and Defender Publishing. He was well known for such books as Forbidden Gates, the Petrus Romanus series, and Zenith 2016, as well as his award-winning documentary, Inhuman. For decades, people have read his works, watched him on nationally syndicated television, and come to know the brain of the man who has pioneered biblical scholarly studies in the subjects of transhumanistic sciences, the Nephilim giants mentioned in Genesis 6, the Vatican's role in eschatology, Freemasonry, the concerning architecture of Washington, DC, and a wide variety of other cutting-edge subjects the rest of the Church will not talk about.

But many have also come to wonder about the man behind the media. Who was Tom Horn at the core? What drives him to tackle the questions very few others will address? Did he know the Lord from an early age, or was there a paramount moment when Christ revealed Himself to Tom? And is there a powerful message in his life's story that is crucially relevant and applicable to all generations within the Body of Christ?

In The Boy from El Mirage, listeners will discover for the first time: How Tom cheated death more than once and came to discover why God spared him for a Kingdom purpose; Why he frequently retreated to the desert for hours at a time alone, and what his reflections during those times eventually revealed; His divine meeting with his lifelong mate, Nita, and his hilarious, less-than-divine first impressions; How his early years in ministry as a pastor were merely training grounds for his true calling; Humorous moments that led to great humbling and reshaping of character; Supernatural events that irrevocably proved God's personal intervention and provision from well before Tom was ever born and onward to today; Most importantly, how his story relates a call-to-action and message of truth for male and female, rich or poor, young or elderly, and of every race.

Not what you would have thought…it was so much better.

I have always very much admired Dr. Thomas Horn since I became acquainted with his many works on SkywatchTV. I had no idea of his humble beginnings, and the many trials he endured to become who he ultimately did. He and his very talented family have touched countless lives, and I believe led many to Christ. His life, as told in this book, is fascinating and amazingly inspiring. He is so honest, even when it doesn’t particularly make him look very good. The narrative is well written, and so much of it is truly heartwarming. The narrator does an excellent job bringing the book to life, and has a talent for different voices. I can quite honestly say that I feel I have gained a lot by listening to this book. I feel I will continue to reflect upon it in the days to come. Dr. Horn managed to slip in life lessons along the way, and was able to explain the redemption of Jesus in an understandable and meaningful way. He accomplished so much in this world. I never knew him personally, but I deeply felt his loss when he was called home to Heaven. This world is definitely poorer with him gone, but I know that Heaven is so much richer having him there. Thank you Dr. Horn for all that you have given us, a wide body of books and videos. Thank you also for letting us peek behind the curtain at your very interesting life. I always regretted not being able to meet you, and see you talk in person. Thankfully you have left us this wonderful book to get to know the man behind the man. A man who was a consummate Scholar and Theologian, and the wild country boy who rarely wore shoes. Woven throughout this book is a theme of love. Love for family, love for God, and love for mankind. I am so thankful God decided to use you to bring me so many blessings in my life. I miss you, and hope I can meet you in Heaven one day.
