Boring & Predictable

The "heroine" is shrewish, hateful, absolutely devoid of logic. What few good qualities she has are used to undermine an underdeveloped and pathetic hero, who despite having many wonderful qualities suffers greatly from seeming to be stupid and blind. It is completely unreasonable to accept that he would actually fall in love with her and unlikely that a reader would like how emasculated he is.
Also, while the book was a torture by itself, I think it suffers further at the hands of a narrator who is at turns grating and sycophantic, making the characters even harder to like.
I would not recommmend this book to anyone who is interested in nobility or consistency in their characters and I would advise caution with purchase of this author. I know I'm completely turned off myself.
