I'm not opposed by any means of treating physiological conditions with medications however, nearly every "story" or example of a situation ends with putting a child on medication. I find it offensive that this is the wide net a physiologist is casting to parents searching for help! Especially if this book is thier first dip in the pool of looking for help! I'm deeply saddened I paid for this and that's it's one of only 4 books that came up in my search for child anxiety. The talk sessions with parent and child are fairly generic and unrealistic! anyone who deals with a child with anxiety would laugh at these stories, few of our own children are going to respond with reason and quickly settle and thank a parent for helping them see things in perspective. isnt that the biggest hurdle with childhood anxiety , its extremely difficult to reason with a child and get a child to understand the reality and reality of thier fears. I truely apologize to the author but this is garabge!
