About this listen
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ WOW! This is one of the best thrilling, fun books I have read in a long time. Goodreads reviewer
Con artists Dawn and Roger must confront the past - while fighting for their future
Siblings Dawn and Roger are orphans, brought up in Paris by their (known-criminal) uncle. Despite being left financially secure by an inheritance, they nonetheless decide to make their own way in life– and under Uncle Claude’s tutelage, become successful con artists. Their weakness, ironically, being an overactive sense of justice.
Now, as adults, Roger lives on a boat berthed in Cannes’ marina while Dawn prefers swanky hotels – when they’re not at their townhouse near Hyde Park in London – and have a habit of being drawn into trouble. Usually in defence of the “little man”.
“Kidnap in Cannes” sees the sibling duo face their greatest challenge yet – against seemingly unsurmountable odds. Uncle Claude was also a professional gambler - so they understand all about odds. But will the other skills he taught them be sufficient to let the pair keep their liberty after a desperate criminal frames them for murder?
Or even, after finding themselves on the shopping lists of professional killers, to keep them alive?
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loved this book! Action packed, twists and turns, thriller, smart and interesting characters all in one story. Goodreads reviewer
