This is a great thumbnail overview of such a deadly and world-shaking war. It would be recommended as the intro to further reading. It clearly is the soundtrack of a cinematic presentation ("Here you are watching ... ") The sound effects add to the drama of the story, but they also make it very hard to hear the narrator well. Adding to that the foreign names, it became difficult to figure out the who and where at any given moment, and I longed for a printed copy - not to replace this but to supplement it.

The War to End All Wars summed up in one hour!

It almost sounds like you are listening to a newsreel from world war two movies.

This was a very hard book to listen to in the car as the sound quality was horrible. It was too bad as I’m very Interested in the subject matter but the reading would fade in and out as I listened.

Information good, horrible sound.
