About this listen

Thirty-five suitors entered the Selection. Only one will win her heart.

The fifth and final captivating novel in Kiera Cass' number-one New York Times best-selling Selection series!

In The Heir, a new era dawned in the world of The Selection. Twenty years have passed since America Singer and Prince Maxon fell in love, and their daughter is the first princess to hold a Selection of her own.

Eadlyn didn't think she would find a real partner among the Selection's 35 suitors, let alone true love. But sometimes the heart has a way of surprising you...and now Eadlyn must make a choice that feels more difficult - and more important - than she ever expected.

Critic reviews

Praise for The Selection: "Reality TV meets dystopian fairy tale in Kiera Cass's delightful debut. Charming, captivating, and filled with just the right amount of swoon!" (Kiersten White, New York Times best-selling author of Paranormalcy)

The narrator is great, she actually puts emotions to her reading so you can feel the emotions the characters feel. And the story itself is very very nice, too, although it isn't as catching as the first 3 books of the series. Nevertheless, it's a good leisure book to help you unwind and escape from reality to a fantasy world. Also, I really like Cass's deus ex machina she uses in most of her books. When it's getting to the end and the story is so tangled you have no idea what could change the direction of the story towards the end you're expecting and then something absolutely unexpected happens that the main characters have no control off. Great stuff, reccommend 👌

Nice story, great narrator
