About this listen

His loss will bring him the greatest gift.... Her love.

Marcas Matheson’s life has spiraled out of control. A fatal illness has ravaged his clan, taking not only his parents and his wife, but so many others of the clan. It’s called the curse of Black Isle. Worse, as heir to the chieftain, now Marcas must be both leader and savior to his people - but they are losing faith in him. Already there are murmurs that his poor decisions brought the curse, causing him to doubt his own ability to head the clan. But when his small daughter takes sick, Marcas has no problem making a decision: He must find a healer - one gifted enough to save his little lass’ life. And he will beg, barter, or steal one if necessary

When healer Brigid Ramsay is abducted in the middle of the night, she knows she just has to bide her time. Her overprotective father, a former spy and feared lethal agent for the Crown, will come for her. Her captor must be daft to kidnap the daughter of Logan Ramsay. But when Brigid realizes a child’s life is in danger, she softens toward her kidnapper, and vows to help him. As they work together, Brigid can’t deny the traitorous attraction she feels nor that she’s falling in love. But how could Marcas ever love her when she’s not the great healer he though?

Can Brigid save Marcas’ daughter’s life before her own father arrives and rains hell down from the Highlands?

Love the Ramseys

For a young lady, Brigid shows the strength you would expect from Logan and Gwyneth Ramsey.
I love that she does what she needs to do to figure out what causes the illness to the clan the chief, Marcus Matheson, has abducted her for.
Tim Campbell does a wonderful job as narrator. I love to listen to him read. He makes characters come to life!

Highland Healers (Book 1) "Brigid"

Kiera Montclair came out swinging with a hit and a home run with her first book in this new series. Marcus Matheson's with the help of his brothers are seeking a renowned healer to save their dying clan. Unfortunately his mission doesn't go as planned. Brigid Ramsey, Jenet Ramsey and their cousin Tara Cameron find themselves snatch from their homes in the middle of the night due to a case of mistaken identity. This adventure takes you on a ride of first love, fatherhood, letting go and new beginnings. As always is great to see new characters but also past favorites as well. Not only do I highly recommend this new series but the previous series of the Clan Grant/Ramsey family as well. Shout-out to Paul Woodson, the narration was on point as always!

The Curse of the Black Isle

Loved the cover, and Paul Woods on is always an excellent narrator, but I felt like the book itself was a bit skimpy. I love Keira Monclair 's stories about the parents of these characters, but I think this is my first reading/listening of the next generation set. It was good, but I felt like there needed to be more dept in the plot, but that's just my opinion. Its worth reading or listening to tho. Keira Montclair is a very good author! 🙂

Wonderful Couple & a Great Story

I had previously read this book & loved it but listening to Paul Woodson's soothing voice added a new dimension! His performance made me laugh out loud a couple of time & I also require a tissue to dry my eyes. I laughed, cried, sighed & then cried again but the treacherous road to happiness was finally found. I loved visiting with past characters (not necessary to read the previous books), Logan & Gwynie & others. There is nothing worse than finding out you have kidnapped former Crown spies & Highland legends, Logan & Gwyneth Ramsay's daughter, Brigid. Laird Marcas Matheson took Brigid for, what he thought, were the right reasons but not all things are as they seem to be. I highly recommend this to all historical romance readers if you enjoy action, romance, danger, family love & a HEA.
