Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Kidnappers grabbed Jenna in broad daylight, right in front of her children and their horrified classmates. Her family was issued an insane ransom demand: $25 million in cash and jewels, payable by the end of the school day, otherwise they’ll never see her again. As Jenna’s mother scrambles to gather the money, detectives Mo Butler and George Ortega follow the trail of the kidnappers, which will lead them through a sordid landscape of jealous lovers, broken dreamers, and twisted schemers. Very Intriguing Story
This is a quick listen that really gets you interested from the beginning. The pacing is really nice and it did not lull about. The narrative is full of descriptive details that really help you visualize the story. Finally, the cliffhanger ending had me gasping. I need to know what’s going to happen next.

Careful What You Wish For
The Damned Review puts me in mind of Nancy Drew and Supernatural. This first book is phenomenal and had me hooked from the first chapter. I need to know more about what happened and who or what the mysterious duo really are. I have my suspicions, but I am going to keep that to myself for now. I am salivating, waiting for book two because book one definitely left a hunger or thirst for the truth. The truth may be out there, but do you really want to come face to face with it! If you love Supernatural, this book is definitely for you. I received this book for free upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased review here of my own volition.

Unique concept that hooks you in
From start to finish, this novella had me completely captivated. The intricate plot kept me guessing at every turn, and the chilling atmosphere had me on the edge of my seat throughout. What truly sets this story apart, however, is the remarkable narration by Elah. Her voice skillfully transitions from anxious to sinister, drawing listeners deeper into the mystery with every word.
The concept is brilliantly executed, blending thrills and mystery seamlessly to create an unforgettable reading experience. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the story delivered a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that left me eagerly anticipating the next installment.

Very enjoyable short story, left me wanting more!
This was a great short story, I listened to it while I cooked dinner today. The narrator’s (Elah) voice was relaxing to listen to but captivating! I usually struggle to pay attention during audiobooks but I had no problem at all listening to this one. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
No spoilers here:
The story is about a writer named Holly and she’s been having a hard time working through some of the negative reviews she’s been receiving. A stranger reaches out to her to offer help regarding this one particular bad review and then Holly finds herself in a bit of a curious situation after that.
The ending definitely left me on a cliff hanger and wanting more. I will definitely be continuing this series!

Fun, quick listen
This story begins with a common online problem, when a person is unfairly targeted online with extreme negativity. I thought that was a really great premise that is easy to relate to. It drew me in quickly. Then it adds mystery and what I would consider to be paranormal intrigue
This was fun for me to listen to. It's an interesting hook for the series and has me curious about where it will go from here.
The narration was clear and easy to understand at all times, even when listening in a noisy environment.

Be Wary of Strange People
Quick listen that holds your attention to the end but leaves you wanting more. A writer is getting bad reviews online and is not sure what to do. Coincidentally, a stranger offers to help, which leads to strange things beginning to happen.
