Publisher's summary

"I was a predator. And I was going to own it."

A night out.

San Francisco PR pro Elizabeth Rubis reluctantly agrees to a night out on the town. Little does she know that her life will be altered forever as childhood night terrors come to life.

A face in the window.

Elizabeth's deepest, darkest fears crawl out of the inky blackness as her lifelong tormentor is revealed during a rare Northern California thunderstorm. A hallucination in the raindrops proves to be an evil, yet familiar entity.

A baptism in blood.

Fueled by hatred for her tormentor, Elizabeth cuts a bloody swath across the San Francisco Bay Area in a desperate quest for revenge. No one is safe from her rage, not even her friends and family.

Great story, good twists

Loved it. Though there have been many vampire stories written, this one is a bit different yet still familiar. Well written and performed. I recommend this title as an interesting and easy listen.

Transformation and Horror

An internal journey of transformation -- Elizabeth Rubis, an ambitious young professional, who has struggled to gain ground emotionally and professionally finds herself forced into a new existence. Something dark and beyond her control. This Gothic Horror story, told from the victim's POV, teases the suppressed anger and fear out of her internal world into the streets of San Francisco where she unleashes her fury and unquenchable thirst. You find yourself relating to how this transformation could happen-- even to you-- through her internal dialogue and struggle to hold onto the last dregs of her humanity. Colorful, and relatable characters, plenty of blood, gore and action and mindful reflection, makes for a thought provoking and suspenseful rollercoaster ride of vampiric fun for fans of Gothic Horror.

boring

I forced myself to listened to chapter 10. The characters are flat and the story is boring. The only reason I got so far is because I skipped forward to get through the boring inner monologues. This book is a waste of time.
