A dynamic, enthralling tale of love, jealousy, rage, and vampires!
When Jack, who struggles with his own sexual identity, meets elegant yet incredibly mysterious Laurent Richelieu, he thinks his stroke of bad luck with men and women has ended. Or is it the beginning of a nightmare?

As the two begin their courtship-Jack encounters horrifying experiences involving paranormal experiences, vampirism, and possible reincarnation, making him question his sanity. The more time Jack spends with his mysterious European love interest, the more the dark secret awaiting Jack is revealed.

Are they destined to be together? Does Laurent honestly care for Jack? Or is there a much more sinister plot involved with two other vampires, Stefan and Fabien? Can the help of a self-described Voodoo High Priestess named "Queen Raphaella" alter Jack's predestined future, or is his fate already sealed?

Amazing!!!

The Darkest Gift audiobook, narrated by Nick Inglis, brings Len Handeland’s vampire tale to life with a hauntingly immersive performance. Inglis’ deep, resonant voice perfectly matches the dark, mysterious atmosphere of the novel, enhancing its themes of love, jealousy, and the supernatural. His nuanced portrayal of each character, especially the enigmatic Laurent Richelieu and the conflicted Jack, heightens the emotional tension, making the listener feel the weight of their dilemmas and the sinister world they inhabit.

Inglis is particularly praised for his ability to evoke the gothic ambiance of the story, bringing out the chilling undertones of Handeland’s writing. His pacing and delivery build suspense throughout the audiobook, especially during the eerie moments when paranormal experiences or vampiric revelations unfold. This performance is a standout for fans of the genre, as it adds a rich, auditory depth to a story already filled with emotional and supernatural complexity.

If you’re drawn to vampire lore and dark romances, Nick Inglis’ narration in The Darkest Gift will transport you into a world where human vulnerability and vampiric danger collide.

Highly recommend this one!

Now I need to know what happens next! I enjoyed this thrilling book and the narration was on point. It was incredibly easy to listen to and distinguish each character from one another with the narrators many voices. You can truly feel the passion and vividly imagine it all as a movie playing out in your head through the narration and the authors writing style.
I am not huge into vampires but this one intrigued me and it captivated my attention from the beginning. Highly recommend.
