About this listen
The heart-racing and thrilling conclusion to "The Darkness Series"
What if it’s always been there? Watching … Waiting …
Cherry Hollow has been plagued by The Darkness for more than two decades. Death, murder, infidelity, trauma, and severe mental health disorders … It all started in 1998 with the disappearance of a young boy. Or did it?
Now, another body has been discovered, hidden in the depths of Beaker Ravine, a place where The Darkness has been luring its victims for years. But this body is different. It’s older. It means The Darkness was around long before anyone even knew it existed …
Stephen Mallow, a London journalist, is back in town to discover the truth, despite vowing he’d never return. His own darkness has followed him, but even that won’t stop his unique and questioning mind from asking the difficult questions no one in town wants to answer.
Olivia and Graham are old friends, reunited after the discovery of the body. They’re now determined to lay their demons to rest. But why was no one reported missing all those years ago? And why has it taken more than forty years for the truth to be revealed?
Can The Darkness finally be destroyed and who will be the one to finally end it all?
Click PRE-ORDER NOW to grab this thrilling conclusion to The Darkness Series.

the darkness that came before
What a great ending to this series. This series was amazing a great way to start listening/reading psychological thrillers. The narrator Candace Fitzgerald was so good. She had the perfect tone. Jessica Huntley has a way with words.

One town's darkness has a longer, twisted past
Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Narrator Candance Fitzgerald returns for a final time to provide an eloquent performance to this harrowing series. The town of Cherry Hollow has already endured so much tragedy from the event that consumed the lives of Amber and her friend with the senseless death of Kieran and terrorized by a Darkness that wouldn't give any of them peace until finally forced to speak the truth of what happened. Sadly, it's not the first time a twisted Darkness took up residence within the town, as Brooke's mother Olivia and Detective Graham knew each as children and bath where a part of their own group of close friends that were a well haunted by their own demons that stole their childhoods just like it did 1998. And for Olivia and Graham face the one chance to make peace of what was done. And for reporter Stephen Mallow, the kind of story he unravels will leave him marked as those the Darkness targeted.
Highly recommended.

A great ending to a series of books! You would think that it be being a series that the books wouldn't be good but they only got better!!
This book shows you a little of how it all got started a little with the original 4 friends!!! And how they Darkness was semi formed!
And the 2 Alex's and Harriet was a wild add on! All 3 of them was just freaking insane!!

Generations of guilt.
An excellent conclusion to this awesome trilogy. The power guilt can hold over us. Even causing mental health issues. We all need to seek forgiveness at some point in our lives. We are all sinners.
The happenings behind closed doors and the events at the ravine in this small town will have you cringing and turning the pages into the night. It affects generations.
I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. The narrator presents this story with care and feeling. Her characters are genuine and believable. 5 stars for her as well.

Fantastic finale to the series.
This entire series has been great. The plot is so unique and keeps you turning the pages! This specific book however was a great finale to the series. I absolutely loved how it everything tied in and came together at the end. The narrator did a fantastic job through this entire series playing out each character with their distinct personalities being portrayed. Each character played a very important role in the story so I think the character distinction and personality portrayal was an important role to the story. Overall, I really recommend giving this series a read!

A Trilogy That Grips You Until the End
This was an outstanding conclusion to the trilogy! All three books in the series were captivating and kept me hooked from start to finish. I especially appreciated the recap in this final book—it was so helpful for recalling the characters and events from the previous two novels, making the story even more enjoyable. Plus, Candace Fitzgerald's narration was consistently excellent across all three books, adding an extra layer of immersion to the experience!

Origin story of the Darkness of Cherry Hollow
This is a origin story, not just of Cherry Hollow, but how all these deaths started. Another body is found that's been deceased a long time. This story is much more intricate than I thought in the 1st book. One thing I know, don't make a blood oath! Everything and everyone are connected.

Deep psychological read!
The Darkness That Came Before by Jessica Huntley
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is book number 3 in The Darkness Series, and once again another excellent read!
This is a fantastic psychological read, with a lot of deepness and creep to the storyline!
There’s a darkness lurking in Cherry Hollow. Can this darkness be destroyed, and will Olivia and Graham find out exactly what this darkness really is?
This book touches on some mental illness, and contains great suspense and thrills!
As with the other books from Jessica Huntley, I was drawn in immediately and intrigued all the way through. It’s a super entertaining and intense book and a great conclusion for the series!
I listened to the audio version and the narrator is excellent!

Brilliant
What a great ending to a brilliant series. I loved it. All three books were fantastic. This book brought all the secrets from Cherry Hollow together. Everything came out. There were so many shocking revelations. Another body was found that dates back even before the original death. So many twits and and turns and so many trigger topics are brought in and discussed, death, child abuse, spousal abuse, mental health disorder, murder. However, Jessica Huntley did an amazing job setting up the plot and bringing everything together. I will be searching out more books by her. I listened to the audio version of the book and as always, the narrator, Candace Fitzgerald, was excellent. For me, she made the story even better. I highly recommend this thriller. I recommend all three stories to get the most out of the novels. Sad to see it end.
