About this listen

Lazarus Stone is about to turn sixteen when, one night, his normal life is ripped to shreds by a skinless figure drenched in blood.

He has a message: The Dead are coming.

Now Lazarus is all that stands in their way. To fulfil his destiny, he must confront not only the dark past of his family, but horrors more gruesome than even Hell could invent.

And it all begins with the reek of rotting flesh ...

Perfect for fans of Derek Landy, Charlie Higson, Will Hill, Ilsa J. Pick, Michael Grant, Shane Boulware, Cas E. Crowe, and Ian Rob Wright.

Critic reviews

‘A relentless and gruesome thrill ride. Readers will lap up its blend of grisly post-Hellraiser body horror, pacey narrative and wicked streak of black humour.’ (SFX Magazine)

Since I’ve read the original book my review is the same. The only thing of note is the narrator using voice changers. It sounds cool but sometimes it’s hard to hear someone of words that is being said especially for Legion. But other than I’m happy to see this series available on Audible.

Looking into this book I wasn’t sure what to expect but the ride was amazing. Lazarus is great MC, I love the fact he just doesn’t care. His nonchalant attitude towards the events at the beginning were interesting and fun. And now as we find out more about him and the Dead I’m excited to see what’s next.

Excited to see this for Audible
