About this listen

In the spring of 1348, tales begin of poisonous clouds fast approaching, which have overwhelmed whole cities, with scarcely a human being left.

While some pray earnestly, there are those who hope that God's wrath might be averted by pilgrimage. When a group of pilgrims are forced to shelter at an inn, their host encourages them to tell their stories of sin, so that it might emerge which one is the best. And the worst...

So boring I don't know if I can bear to finish....

I've loved all the Medieval Murderers stories until this one. This one is like a poor imitation of Canterbury Tales. Worst of all is the narrator, whose rambling story of the English in France after Crecy is rivaled in dullness only by the dullness of his telling, full of odd pauses and a monotonous voice. The reader sounds like someone who is trying to put expression into his read aloud without any idea how to do it. Really wish I'd read the bad review before I bought this.
