About this listen

It's been seven months since 90 percent of the world's population died, ravaged by a pandemic called "The Death". The world that remains is a hostile one. Chaos has replaced the rule of law, savagery has replaced civility, and the one rule that everyone follows is "kill or be killed".

Devin, Tess, and Brianna survived the pandemic, but can they survive the world that remains? Each new day presents challenges and threats, but they are persistent and do what needs to be done. Their goal is to find a safe place, and they believe that is where Tess' fiancé is located. However, the road to him will be treacherous, and the guarantee of success is not certain.

After narrowly escaping the clutches of Chancellor Horton, Lori and Travis have taken refuge in an old ranch house in Northern Colorado. Once safe, her mind has turned to her unborn baby. Without a cure, the baby could die within days of birth. A cure exists, but it is locked inside the very place from which she just escaped.

There are many questions left, but the greatest one for them all is: Will they survive long enough to find the answers?

90% good story, 10% disappointed

It is was good until the end climax which I won't reveal but there were parts which I don't think were really thought through. I found what the characters did and their plans questionable, too many, "Why are they doing that for?" Just too many bad ideas and foolish actions.

Otherwise the relationships between the characters and their development was great and sets up interesting aspects for the next book.

Another excellent sequel

Book 2 is an excellent continuation to this saga. The characters developed well from book 1 and the story progressed in a way that held your interest.

a very good read

I love how the story pulled me in. I would have liked a little more exchanges with the devilish characters. I liked how it ended with me on the edge of my seat, this assures my purchase of the next piece. if it's any thing like I imagine five-star rating for sure.

Great post-EOTWAWKI story

Would you consider the audio edition of The Death: Eradicate to be better than the print version?

Have not had chance to read printed version.

What about Guy Williams’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed Guys reading of story. He adds texture to storyline.

Pretty good series so far.

I felt that the connection with the people was well developed, little outlandish at times but that's why we like these books right? All things considered I can't wait for book 3

Good story but......

the story is just compelling enough to make me want to finish the trilogy regardless of how far fetched certain coinsidences are. Biggest complaint is the performance.

Robert Ludlum comes to mind...

As a teen I read Robert Ludlum's books one after the other and could not wait for the next. Mr. Vance captures my mind and imagination in a similar way. I find myself wondering how his characters will fare and "Hope" good will prevail!

Absolutely Awesome!!

If you could sum up The Death: Eradicate in three words, what would they be?

One of the best reads I've ever had the opportunity to listen to. The story was reviting and kept you on the edge of your seat! Loved all characters and the villian in the story is absolutely ruthless!

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite charachter was Tess because she portrays and strong willed women who can take care of herself and anyones path she crosses!

What does Guy Williams bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His portrayl of each character gives a sense of there true nature.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!
