About this listen
Attorney Craig Malcault’s special problem is a blessing in disguise: Colleagues in the intelligence community at times do not trust the mental faculties of the rogue, former special operations agent. He could have been Craig’s favorite client. The international spy rings with their own agendas need his expertise. Ara Pacis,’ the failed state’s notorious, covert leadership is preparing for another power grab, but now the complete destruction of Ara Pacis by any means is the spy rings’ ultimate goal.
If the failed state survives, its secrets will test the sanity of mankind, and the agent has the key to that experiment.
Craig knows the agent wants a new life, but is he ready to take on the risk? The case will bring Craig one step closer to solving the mystery of Ara Pacis' sinister world where the extrajudicial killing of unarmed non-combatants can be the norm. As much the classified, covert leadership has promised Craig. Noblesse oblige when the law and morals don’t.

The Series Just Keeps Getting Better!
I’ve been hooked on this series since the first book, and this one doesn’t disappoint. The storyline picks up right where the last one left off, and was completely drawn into the world again. The characters continue to grow, and the action is intense. Honestly, I couldn’t put it down. What I love most is how ithe author deepens the plot without losing any of the excitement. It’s rare to find a series that stays this strong. I’m really looking forward to seeing where the story goes next. If you’ve enjoyed the previous books, you’ll love this one as well!

A Spy Thriller with Twists That Stun
I didn’t expect to get so hooked, but wow this one had me questioning everything. The layers of espionage, fractured trust, and the looming threat of total annihilation had my brain working overtime in the best way. It’s not your average spy story it’s gritty, cerebral, and weirdly emotional. Craig’s internal tug of war really stuck with me. If you like your thrillers with a side of mind bending suspense, this one delivers.

SO INTERESTING!!
In this intense thriller, Craig Malcault, a tenacious human rights lawyer, finds himself tangled in a high-stakes game of espionage. The narrative revolves around his precarious alliance with a rogue ex-special operations agent, whose unstable mind is both a blessing and a curse. As Ara Pacis, a failed state with a notorious secretive leadership, gears up for a new power play, Craig is drawn into a perilous mission to uncover and potentially dismantle the state’s dark secrets. The stakes are alarmingly high: if Ara Pacis survives, its hidden horrors could challenge the very fabric of human sanity.
Craig must navigate a murky world where traditional values and legal boundaries are often overridden by the brutal realities of covert warfare. His journey forces him to confront the blurred lines between morality and duty in a landscape where survival often comes at a steep price.
This gripping thriller isn't just highly recommended; it's an absolute must for anyone who dares to delve into a world where every choice could be a matter of life or death!

Very Intriguing!
This is the second book I've listened to by this author, and even though I got it out of order, it was another fantastic listen! Attorney Craig Malcault's character is complex and intriguing, with his unique challenges making him both relatable and formidable. The plot is gripping, with international spy rings and covert operations keeping the tension high throughout. The ethical dilemmas Craig faces add depth to the story. The author's ability to blend legal drama with high-stakes espionage is impressive, making this audiobook a compelling listen from start to finish. Can't wait to explore more from this series!
