Growing up in a small town isn't easy, especially when you're the daughter of a local cult leader. Ten years ago, Eden Collins left Clear Springs, Montana, and never once looked back. But when the bodies of murdered young women surface, their corpses violated and marked with tattoos worn by her mother's followers, Eden, now an FBI agent, can't turn a blind eye. To catch the killer, she's going to have to return to the fold.
Sheriff Zach Owens isn't comfortable putting Eden in danger, even if she is an elite agent. And he certainly wasn't expecting to be so attracted to her. As calm and cool as she appears, he knows this can't be a happy homecoming. Zach wants to protect her - from her mother, the cult, and the evil that lurks behind its locked gates. But Eden is his only key to the tight-lipped group, and she may just be closer to the killer than either one of them suspects...

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Not really. The narrator..was bad. Specially her male voices were nasal and whinny. Also she will yelled every sentence. the characters will sound loud and exasperated all the time.Second...The main character is the worst FBI agent I have ever read before. She is constantly making stupid mistakes, getting herself in trouble and at the same time we will be reminded that SHE IS AN FBI AGENT and one of the best.......
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I would have change the narrator. Also is a romantic-suspense, lacking in both. There was no connection between the protagonists. Too force. I rolled my eyes several times with the two of them. The suspense was also weak. Not much of a mystery in my opinion. figure it out too soon. Was The Devil's Daughter worth the listening time?
ehhhhh...........Not what i was expecting (in a bad way)

I found the narration quite hard to follow and cringy at some parts. The shouting when some inner thoughts were going on was a strange choice in my opinion, as sometimes I felt like sass would have worked much better.
This was a fun listen all the same.

What did you love best about The Devil's Daughter?
A really interesting premise for an FBI agent's background. The characters were believable.Any additional comments?
One of the sex scenes was erotic, as in, Rated X. Totally unnecessary.Solid Thriller
