However, things quickly get out of control as clues don't add up, the suspect list grows rapidly, and a mysterious shadow always seems to be one step ahead of her. Throw in an overeager "helpful" eight-year-old sister, Emma, and a cute guy who insists on tagging along, followed by a best friend suddenly keeping secrets, and Crystal starts second-guessing her career choice.

However, she's soon in a race against time to find the real culprit before the town plays judge, jury, and executioner with her father. Can she get to the bottom of the caper before he's thrown in jail for a crime he did not commit? Or has her career stopped before it even started?

The Diamond Caper is the first book in The Crystal O’Mally Mystery series. The story is cozy, interesting, entertaining, mysterious, and more. The Diamond Caper is an absolutely adorable read! What fun! The narrator fully captures the characters. This was a fun little mystery and I totally fell in love with Crystal and Emerald! I love Leah Pugh’s style and humor. Can’t wait for the rest.
