"Beyond these four things, the question of politics is the question of the politician, or the specific modality of politics. Part of this is democratic appeasement, whereas other aspects involve the organization of government, and the wielding of power. Efforts should be made to solve bullet-point problems, suggesting a role for meritocracy in the abstract, national level. Economic functions may be seen as the reverse of the shadow of world conflict. Successful entrepreneur modalities must be balanced with lagging and problematic modalities found elsewhere in the world. In this sense, there is a need for paradigmatic awareness at every level. There is even a need to step out of the box of conceiving power as a purely political construction. One way to look at this is that politicians and political bodies need to be flexible --- not flexible about the very existence of government,--- but flexible about the adaptive role, and the level of engagement with public issue."
