Awful narrator-AI?

I love Eric’s work and am a Reconnective Healing/The Reconnection Practitioner so I was excited to listen to this book. I’d just finished listening to the audiobook of The Reconnection (I read it close to 15 years ago) and Eric did a phenomenal job. It feels like you’re in a seminar or on a Zoom with him.
Unfortunately, so far, he nor Gillian narrate The Direct Path to Healing, other than a brief intro. I say “so far” because I can’t get through it. The narrator, Layne Ihld, has a monotonous, jerky cadence that sounds like AI or Capt Kirk of the Enterprise; take your pick. It also lacks appropriate emotion/inflection. Either way, it is so distracting and unpleasant to the ear I’m finding it impossible to comprehend what is being read. I don’t mean I can’t understand it, like when you have difficulty with a thick, foreign accent. I mean, the meaning isn’t coming through. I have this intuited visual of the material as being one, long, thin, cold, run-on, single dimension thread with a mechanical/electrical feel. When I think of the experience of listening to Eric narrate The Reconnection it’s a thick, warm, complex, physical wrap.
The other issue is as Eric and Gillian were speaking, I could feel the frequencies in my body just as I could listening to Eric narrate the Reconnection. When Layne Ihld began speaking the frequencies stopped.
Looks like I’m going to have to borrow the book version from the library or from a friend and just read it OR listen to The Reconnection 2 more times as Eric suggests at the end.
Very disappointed in the experience/ourchase.
