About this listen

"The character and worldbuilding are exceptional…Definitely recommended if you want a brilliant epic fantasy." Archaeolibrarian: I Dig Good Books!

The Dragon Star Saga is a thrilling sword and sorcery opera with a kaleidoscopic plot set in a unique and deeply immersive world with a diverse cast of emotionally captivating human and non-human characters. Perfect for fans of The Wheel of Time, Malazan Book of the Fallen, The Kingkiller Chronicles, and The Stormlight Archive series.

What would you do to save those you love when a war between the gods shatters the world?

Across the vast and turbulent Iron Realm thousands share the same nightly dream of the birth of a new star and a powerful new goddess who promises to fracture kingdoms and liberate lives…

Physically and psychically scarred, Sha-Kutan has spent years hiding in shame from his demonic nature and violent past, but on the same night the crimson star from the dream blazes to life in the sky above his small farm, a desperate woman arrives at his door clutching a frightened six-year-old girl. Royal tutor Lee-Nin has kept the princess safe for days, but they are hunted by palace soldiers ordered to kill Sau-Tauna for her terrifying abilities. Seeking redemption, Sha-Kutan vows to protect them as they follow the star and escape together. Soon their fates are intertwined with six other remarkable people…

A middle-aged prophetess reluctantly leads a pilgrimage of believers past fanatical militias to the Forbidden Realm — where the dreams say the new goddess will reveal herself… A prince turned warrior-priest unwillingly assumes the throne of a war-torn dominion while stalked by assassins and reunited with the friend he fell in love with when they were young men… A runaway noblewoman battles to defend a carnival in a castle under siege with the help of three outlanders from other realms — a pale yutan, a furred wyrin, and a bear-like roagg… A brilliant reptilian philosopher from the Sun Realm races to retrieve a stolen magical artifact she suspects is linked to the mythical urris — the godlike beings who separated the realms and their peoples millennia ago… A banished mage from the scholarly City of Leaves flees with her husband and children from the magical creatures who will kill for the book of arcane lore she believes is connected to the new goddess... And an immortal old man awakens alone each day in a new place for thousands of years until he meets a shy, ten-year-old boy silenced by unspeakable sorrow.

What binds these brave and broken souls together, and can they save those they love from destruction when the old gods finally awaken to challenge the new goddess?

"The writing is beautiful, and although there are a lot of characters, I found them to be unique and fully created. This is a well-crafted book and one I will not easily forget. I recommend this book!" Air Global Radio Network Book Reviews

Unique and interesting

Unique and interesting you get used to the virtual voice , but the voice definitely does not do the story justice. The human narrator would've made this story amazing.. This virtual voice is better than many.
