Publisher's summary
Learn about the mystery of the Dropa Stones with iMinds insightful audio knowledge series. The Dropa Stones are supposedly a collection of circular stones found in a cave in Tibet in 1938. They were discovered by Chinese archaeologist Chi Pu Tei. They purportedly tell of aliens coming to earth in 10,000 BC. No claims have been verified, and so the Dropa Stones are part of a highly elusive mystery.
High in the Baian-Kara-Ula mountains in Western China, Chi Pu Tei led a group of students on an expedition surveying interlinking caves in the Himalayas. The caves were apparently remarkable in that they appeared to have been carved using a technically-advanced cutter. What was most incredible about the expedition of Chi's team is the fact that they stumbled across 400 skeletons of an unidentifiable small creature. Each creature would have stood at little more than four-feet high.
Perfect to listen to while commuting, exercising, shopping or cleaning the house.. iMinds brings knowledge to your MP3 with 8 minute information segments to whet your mental appetite and broaden your mind.

Charles Fort, a writer in the 1920s, concluded that the Earth was "owned" by someone or something. Ivan Sanderson, a famed biologist in the 1960s, said that this planet was a "farm" and that we were the crop. Millions of people around the world have had startling encounters with the "tricksters", such as the Men in Black (MIB), fairies and elves, snallygasters, Mothmen, aliens and "spacemen", and hairy, abominable creatures that all seem to vanish into thin air. With sharp wit and unique insight, John A. Keel has spent a lifetime investigating and studying these age-old mysterious and the peculiar forces behind them.

For centuries, this worldview has inspired people to make their choices by principles of freethinking, intellectual inquiry, fellow feeling, and optimism. In this sweeping new history, Sarah Bakewell, herself a lifelong humanist, illuminates the very personal, individual, and, well, human matter of humanism and takes listeners on a grand intellectual adventure.

Editorial reviews
In 1938, a collection of hieroglyphic etchings on large circular stones were purported to have been found in a Tibetan cave by Chinese archaeologist Chi Pu Tei, and allegedly told the tale of extraterrestrial life. Mystery shrouds the Dropa Stones, however, as there is no evidence that they - and even their discoverer - ever existed. iMinds describes the theories surrounding the stones in this illuminating work, which gives a general summary of their histories. Elouise Rothwell's insinuating performance, along with the eerie background music, only add to the intriguing enigma of the Dropa Stones.

Story
A few years ago, Mark Adams made a strange discovery: Everything we know about the lost city of Atlantis comes from the work of one man, the Greek philosopher Plato. Then he made a second, stranger discovery: Amateur explorers are still actively searching for this sunken city all around the world, based entirely on the clues Plato left behind.

Story
Meriwether Lewis discovered far more than the history books tell - ancient civilizations, strange monuments, "nearly white, blue-eyed" Indians, and evidence that the American continent was visited long before the first European settlers arrived. And he was murdered to keep it all secret. Examining the shadows and cracks between America's official version of history, Xaviant Haze and Paul Schrag propose that the America of old taught in schools is not the America that was discovered by Lewis and Clark and other early explorers.

Professor Timothy R. Pauketat illuminates the riveting discovery of the largest pre-Columbian city on U.S. soil. Once a flourishing metropolis of 20,000 people in 1050, Cahokia had rotted away by 1400. Its earthen mounds near modern-day St. Louis reveal “woodhenges” and evidence of large-scale human sacrifice.

Story
Around 6000 BC, a revolution took place on Orkney and the Western Isles of Scotland. An outstanding collection of stone circles, standing stones, round towers, and passage mounds appeared seemingly out of nowhere. And yet many such monuments were not indigenous to Britain, but to regions of the Caspian Sea and the Mediterranean. Their creators were equally mysterious. Traditions tell of the Papae and Peti, "strangers from afar" who were physically different, dressed in white tunics, and lived aside from the regular population.

Aliens in Tibet 👀
This short listen about the Dropa Stones discovered in Tibet in 1938 by Chinese archaeologist Chi Pu Tei was a new subject for me. I had never heard of the Dropa Stones. Chi Pu Tei's team found 400 skeletons that stood about four feet tall. Much mystery surrounds his discovery, which, of course has never been verified. I love these short listens, which stretch your mind and imagination!

It's Okay
Quick and to the point. Perfect for waiting in line or going for a very quick walk. More a long article, with general events & facts presented. Author tried to remain neutral & presented opposing views re the authenticity of the stones. Only drawback for me was the narrator had a heavy British accent but wasn't awful & just personal preference.
