I couldn’t put down this wild ride that included all my favorite themes: Time travel, historical fiction, and sci-fi of the extraterrestrial kind. The narrator’s voice was down-to-earth, though—funny and honest in a way that was easy to follow and made me feel like I was in the action with him. The setting of the Holy Land in Jesus’ time was especially accurate (good research!) but not without some fantastical interpretations of what was really going on (enter the Venusians). And who knows what was really going on, anyway? Our hero gets to figure it all out, complete his mission, and get scooped up for another adventure in Book 2—Keep ‘em coming!
