About this listen

 Ulf is a young Norseman in a rapidly changing world. His pagan upbringing is being threatened by the push of Christianity. Village after village convert to the new religion, many forcefully. Once they served as guards for Kings, from Norway to the Byzantine Empire, but the tides of time have changed. This fearsome force becomes excommunicated. Exiled from their communities and pushed to the outer limits of humanity. The exiled old guard and Ulf need each other, a new empire is pushing north from France. The Normans are on a genocidal rampage to route out descent amongst its newly conquered peoples, which puts them on a deadly course straight towards them.
